Reunited, but broken hearted

Annie Jenkins moved away from Holmes Chapel about ten years ago. She left behind the five best friends she had ever had, and the one boy she fell in love with--Marcel, or Harry, Styles. But all too soon, Annie and Harry grow apart.

She hasn't seen Harry in a decade. But when her old school, Holmes Chapel High School, sends her a letter saying that she's invited to a reunion, she, thanks to the pushing of her roommate, Marie, heads down to Holmes Chapel, where she is reunited with Harry again. But the man she meets at the reunion isn't the sweet boy she fell in love with ten years ago. Something happened...and Annie is determined to find out what. You may want to read My Friend Marcel first. Otherwise you're going to be pretty confused.

4. Harrys back

I looked around the room, trying to recognize someone—anyone.  Marie immediately left me in search of snacks. Thanks a whole stinking lot, Mar. A tall man sidled up to me. “Hey, babe, I don’t remember you?” He winked, and I nearly gagged. “I’m Jack Johnson.”

“Jack?” I gasped. “Wow…It’s been a while.”

“And your name is?”

“Annie?” His face was still blank. “Annie Jenkins?” Suddenly his eyes widened and he jumped away from me. He looked me up and down, but his face was still a look of disgust.

“Well, you certainly changed.” He snapped.

“Thanks.” I offered him a cheeky smile. “You haven’t changed a bit.” He made a face, then made a beeline for some blondes over by the punch table. I rolled my eyes, and made my way toward the snack table. Suddenly I felt some one crash into me, and I tripped and fell.

“Oooops!” the person said. He reached down and helped me up. “So sorry about that…” He said with a distinctive Irish accent. “Had to get the wife some chocolate…” He looked me in the face. “Annie?” He asked, running a hand through his blonde hair.

“Nialler?” I smiled. He grabbed me in a huge bear hug, and swung me around.

“It’s so good to see you again, Stryker!” He said, setting me down. “Come on! Han is going to flip!” He grabbed my wrist and pulled me toward the chairs. I saw Hannah before she saw me—her long blonde hair was wrapped into a braid, and she wore an empire-waisted blue dress. She turned and saw Niall, then me. She squealed, and jumped up. Niall yelped and ran to her side. “Hannah! Don’t make any sudden moves like that! You know you need to be careful!” He scolded, checking her all over to see if she was okay. Hannah pushed her doting husband aside and grabbed me in a hug.

“ANNIE!” she giggled. “I haven’t seen you in ages!” I frowned as I hugged her. Something was different… I pulled away from her and held her at arm’s length. Suddenly my mouth dropped.

“Hannah…are you…” She giggled and blushed, her hands resting on her slight baby bump, and Niall grinned and wrapped an arm around her waist.  I squealed and clapped my hands like a retarded seal. “OEMGEEEEE!” I squealed louder. I grabbed Hannah in a hug, and we danced around. “Oh, my gosh!” I giggled. “When did you find out? How far along are you? How do you feel? Do you know if it’s a boy or a girl? Do you need help with anything?”

“Just a month ago, about four months, I feel like I’m about three hundred pounds, we are waiting to find out, and not at the moment, but I might later down the line.” Hannah laughed at my frantic questioning. Suddenly a tall brown haired man walked up to us.

“I heard the distinctive screech of two girls, and figured someone had just found out that Hannah’s pregers.” He grinned. Niall punched his shoulder.

“Shut up, Li.”

“LIAM!” I yelled. He looked at me, confused, then suddenly he grinned.

“STRYKER!” He yelled back. I grabbed him in a hug, and I shut my eyes as his arms closed around me. I felt the awkwardness I though was going to fill the evening drift away “Good to see you again, Ann!” Liam said. I heard what sounded like a battle cry, and suddenly I was pounced on by one Louis Tomlinson.

“ANNIE, ANNIE, ANNIE, ANNIE, ANNIE!!” He yelled in my ear. I started laughing as everyone was staring at us.

“LOUIS, LOUIS, LOUIS, LOUIS, LOUIS!” I yelled back. He grinned, and pulled me close.

“Hai.” He said in a campy voice. I giggled.

“Guess what, I’m engaged, and you're invited to the wedding!” He let me go and danced around happily. My jaw dropped, and I looked at Liam, who was rolling his eyes, but grinning.

“Louis! You're engaged! To who?”

“Michelle Obama—Who do you think? OLIVIA!!!!” He yelled again, still dancing around like an idiot. I giggled.

“Speaking of my lovely cousin, where is she?” Liam asked, grabbing Louis in a head lock to make him stop embarrassing us. Louis tried to pull away from his friend, but he couldn’t. Suddenly a short blonde girl wearing a green skirt and a black sweater walked over.

“Ugh. I can’t leave you two alone for five seconds, can I?” She sighed. Louis cleared his throat, still locked in Liam’s grip.

“Sweetie, you remember Annie, right?” Olivia turned, and saw me. She grinned and grabbed me in a hug.

“Wow, Ann! It’s been so long!” She said, pulling away. She smiled. “You look great!”

“Thanks! So do you!” I smiled back. “Congratulations on your engagement, by the way.” Olivia’s cheeks turned a rosy pink, and she absentmindedly played with the sparkling diamond on her ring finger.

“Thank you! I hope you know you’re invited to the wedding!” She giggled.

“Hey, where’s Zayn?” Hannah asked. “I know he was here…Niall and I picked him up.”

“I see Zayney boy with a hot girl over yonder…” Louis giggled, as Liam let him go.

“That’s my roommate, Marie.” I giggled. “Zayn is flirting with my roommate.”

“Ohhhhhhh. That’s awkward.” Hannah and Olivia started laughing along with me. Liam, Louis, and Niall all looked at each other, and shrugged.

“I will never understand the female mind.” Liam said.

“I’ve learned if you give them chocolate, they are happy.” Louis stroked his imaginary beard. “This should be a scientific discovery.” Olivia wacked his shoulder again, and Louis sighed. “See, Annie? This is the only reason she’s marrying me. So she can work on her boxing skills.”

“No, that’s what Liam’s for,” Olivia giggled, rising on her tiptoes and kissing Louis’ cheek. “You're just here to look cute.” I rolled my eyes with Hannah, and we both started laughing. I cleared my throat.

“So, um…Where’s Harry?” I asked casually. Everyone looked at each other, and Niall coughed.

“Last time I spoke to him, he said he was coming…” Louis said awkwardly, scratching his neck.

“How is he doing?” I asked. Hannah sighed.

“He’s…well…he’s…” She smiled and pointed toward the door. “He’s right over there.” I turned and my heart nearly stopped. Harry Styles…
