Reunited, but broken hearted

Annie Jenkins moved away from Holmes Chapel about ten years ago. She left behind the five best friends she had ever had, and the one boy she fell in love with--Marcel, or Harry, Styles. But all too soon, Annie and Harry grow apart.

She hasn't seen Harry in a decade. But when her old school, Holmes Chapel High School, sends her a letter saying that she's invited to a reunion, she, thanks to the pushing of her roommate, Marie, heads down to Holmes Chapel, where she is reunited with Harry again. But the man she meets at the reunion isn't the sweet boy she fell in love with ten years ago. Something happened...and Annie is determined to find out what. You may want to read My Friend Marcel first. Otherwise you're going to be pretty confused.

15. Going Home

“So,” Katrina winked at me as I slid into the front seat. “You were talking with Harry.” “Yes, I was. You are so observant. You should have been a detective, not a science teacher.” I said sarcastically. She stuck her tongue out at me. “What did you talk about?” “Nothing, just what musical we’re doing this year. We decided on Wicked.” “Good choice!” Katrina glanced at me again. “So?” “Sew, a needle pulling thread; la, a note to follow sew—“ “Annie!” “It’s nothing, Kat…He’s just dropping by later to go over the script and make sure it’s appropriate for family viewing, and we may cut out parts of it if it’s too long—plus we have to see what kind of set materials we need—“ “Mmmm.” Katrina hummed. “That’s how it always starts. First he’s coming over to your flat, then he’s taking you out for dinner…” “Shut up.” I laughed. Katrina giggled, and I rolled my eyes. “He’s coming over to do work, Kat.” “That’s what my mom said…” She said in a sing song voice. “And three weeks later, she had a different last name.” “Shut up.” I said again, shoving her and rolling my eyes again. “Just take me home.” “Fine.” We were silent as she pulled up to my house, and then she smiled at me. “Just be careful, okay?” “Yes, mum.” I waved as I got out of the car, and hurried into my flat. X*******************X “Are you sure you’re going to be okay?” Marie asked for at least the hundredth time as she put in her new earrings and brushed through her long brown hair. “If you're not, then I can call Zayn and tell him that I can’t go…” “Yes, Mar, I’m going to be perfectly fine. You’re not going to miss your date because you think I can’t handle myself around my ex-boyfriend.” I rolled my eyes as I paid the delivery man and took the pizza he offered, then closed the door and set the pizza on the counter. “At least tell me you’re going to change and do your hair before he gets here.” I looked down at my penguin pajama pants and black I Volunteer as Tribute tee shirt. My hair was piled on my head in a bun with a pencil sticking out of it, my basic lounging attire. “Um…Noooooo?” “Oh, Annie.” Marie shook her head. “And you wonder why you’re single.” “No, I don’t.” I said, shaking my head. “Thor and Chris Evans are the only men I need in my life.” “Annie.” Marie took my shoulders. “Thor is a dog. And Chris Evens is a goldfish.” “Sez you.” I stuck my tongue out at her, and she sighed. I heard a knock at the door, just as the phone rang. Marie grabbed it. “Get the door.” She said, then answered the phone.
