Sarah is 18, but her life is far from any other high school senior's. Her mother died when she was 16; her father became a drug addict, smoker, alcoholic, and Sarah's worst nightmare. Why? Well, he abuses her.

Sarah doesn't tell anyone though, not even her best (and only) friend Lexi because her father told her that he would hurt her little sisters that her mother left her to raise when it became clear her father wouldn't be able to.

Sarah goes to work one day expecting it to be like every other day. Little does she know she is in for one heck of a surprise.

4. Here's Hoping

Sarah’s POV:

I woke up the next morning still on the couch.  I got ready for work and when I was done I smelled bacon and eggs cooking and went into the kitchen.  I saw Lexi and Autumn cooking breakfast and Lilliana in her high chair Lexi bought last year when it became clear we were going to be regular visitors.  I sat down next to Lilliana and ate the breakfast Lexi and Autumn put before me.  I mumbled a "I gotta go to work," to Lexi before I gave my sisters a hug goodbye and rushed out the door.

Louis' POV

Today was my first day of my 3 week break from tour.  I decided to go get my sisters breakfast from McDonalds as a surprise.  I got up and put on my sweats as I walked out the door and to my car.

As I pulled into the parking lot of the local McDonalds, I thought about how I was so tired of looking.  For that one girl.  Liam said I would know it when I saw her, but I wasn't so sure.  I had been looking for 2 months since Eleanor and I broke up, and I couldn't help but think all hope was lost.  I was still contemplating it as I walked up to the cashier.

"Hello and welcome to McDonalds, what can I get for you?" The girl asked.  I read straight from the menu as I ordered not bothering to look down at the girl.  As I was pulling out my wallet I looked up and saw her.  She was the one.  I just knew it.  Like Liam said I would.

She wasn’t too short, wasn’t too tall; around 5’5.  Her brown hair flowed over her shoulders and was tucked behind her right ear.  She had beautiful pink lips and when she smiled she showed a tiny bit of her white teeth.  When she smiled up at me and our eyes met, I saw a striking blue color that had a hint of gray and green in it.  She was perfect.

I noticed her cheeks turn a bright red and realized I had been staring at her for the past two minutes, my hands still mid-pulling out my wallet.  I finally finished pulling it out and paid her.  I was about to take my food when I noticed she was wearing a One Direction necklace.  So she’s a fan.  Even better.

“Thank you.  What’s your name, love?”  I asked her as I scribbled something down on my receipt.

“Sarah.  Sarah Kate,” she quietly responded, her voice just as beautiful as her eyes.

“That’s a lovely name for a lovely girl,” I told her.  “May I ask to see your phone, Sarah?”  She nodded and handed her white iPhone to me.  I quickly added my contact and handed her the slip of paper back with her phone as I ran out the door.  “It was amazing meeting you, Sarah.  I hope to see you again soon,” I shouted back behind me as the door closed.  She was the one.  I just knew it.

As I hopped back into my car I pulled out my phone and got on twitter.  I looked up Sarah Kate and quickly found who I was looking for.  I followed her and saw that she followed me back.  I sent her a DM saying who I was and how I knew her and that I would love it if she would contact me with the number I gave her.  Here’s hoping.
