2. Chapter One

Three Years Earlier...

"Dad! Stop it please!" I beg as my dad stumbled into my room, slamming me into the wall. He leans towards me, his hot breath hitting my neck. The stench of alcohol was the only thing I could smell on him, it made me want to throw up. "You dumb little slut." he growled as he reached clawed at my shirt, ripping it off. I screamed as the pieces of my shirt fell to the ground. "Daddy please don't do this." I begged again. My dad looked at me with those big, dark brown eyes that once filled me with joy every time I looked in them, now they fill me with utter terror. His eyes bored into mine as he spoke. "You deserve all of this, you'd be better off dead. You're the reason why your mother left us. You're useless. Just go fucking die, you dumb bitch." he growled. My eyes willed up with tears, threatening to spill from my eyes. I blinked them back he's not worth it, I'm not going to waste my tears on him. My dad then simply let go of my shoulders, causing me to fall to the ground and he left my room with a slam of my door. I sat there not moving one inch as my eyes could no longer hold back my tears.

I stayed on the floor for about two hours, just crying, letting it all out. I then glanced at my clock 3 AM great. I stood up and looked around my room it finally hitting me. I can run away from this hell hole I sadly call home. I quietly walked to my door and opened it. It creaked a little causing me to jump, I peeked out the door and looked across the hall. My father was laying on his bed snoring loudly as h held a beer in his hand. I shut the door and ran to my closet. I pulled out my school bag, I dumped all the books onto my bed so it didn't make as much noise as it would if I were to pour it all out onto my floor. I walked over to my closet and pulled out enough clothes for a week. I searched through my dresser and found the $400 I had saved up. I stuffed that into my back pocket and I slipped on my vans. I grab my bag, put it on my back, open my window, and climb out. I shut it quietly, I then jumped off my roof landing softly on the ground. I then took off running, never looking back.

I ran to downtown which is about two miles away, I was out of breath. I walked around, smiling at by passers who hung down here at 4 AM. I walked into a local shop and bought some chips and three water bottles to last for the day. I payed the women at the counter then left the store. As I was leaving, I ran into a group of about five men. "Sorry." I mutter as I go around them. "Hey!" one called so me being the idiot I am turned around. Before I could even react, I was on the ground and with in a minute the money I had left was gone. Along with my chips and my two other water bottles. I didn't even bother to scream or shout because I knew no one would help me because I mean come on, it was downtown. So, I got up, brushed myself off and walked about another block and found a wall. I slumped against it, leaned my head back and fell asleep.

"Hey, hey." I woke up to someone shaking me, I looked up and saw a kid with flippy hair who was wearing a huge hoodie, blue jeans, and sneakers. "Hey." I smiled. He then tossed my five dollars, I picked it up. "Thanks." I said and then before he could respond, his mom was dragging him off. "God Justin! What did I say about talking to strangers?!" she snapped at him. I sighed as I look down at the money and I stuffed it in my bra this time, hoping it would be a little safer in there.

One Year Later...

I got off the bus and I was finally in LA. It was my seventeenth birthday and I smiled as the warm air hit my face. "Finally." I smiled as I walked down the street. I looked around at all the people and then I saw one certain guy, he was pretty freaking hot. Now, little do you know I've been sort of sleeping around to stay with guys. So I think this guy should be pretty easy as well. I looked at my outfit, this should get his attention. I walked up to him, letting my hips sway as I did. I saw his eyes land on me as I walked up to him, a huge smile on my face. "Hi." I giggled as I extended my hand out to him. "I'm Bethany." he took my hand, smiling and he shook it then he grabbed me and pulled me to him. "I'm Kenny." he grinned. "Hi Kenny, well I'm new here and I'm lost and I need a place to stay." I pouted, as I looked at the ground. He then lifted my chin up, "How old are you?" he asked. "Seventeen." I smiled. "I'm eighteen." I nodded my head. "You can stay with me." he grinned. "Perfect!" I giggled as I grabbed his hand. "Let's go babe." he smirked as he wrapped an arm around my waist and lead me to his car.

Little did I know at that time I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life.

That's Kenny in the picture!
