36. section 36
I turned to Heflin with disgust and rage since she just sealed a whole tribe's fate! "You know what you just did!" I said in her face. I wanted to show her the disgrace that she had put on all of us and lost Arrow's favor. I wanted to slice her right then but I knew I had no right taking an unnecessary life.
She silently took a deep breath and let it ease out with her words. “Remember when I said I was a median?” I silently bit my lip, I could feel the sword form in hot anger in my hand and I noticed that Heflin had taken note like she should. She took a silent step back with caution and finished the rest of her resigning. “I was trying to negotiate with them." She quivered trying to show fear but I could read her easily that she too was setting her powers to kill if needed.
"What to kill!" I said hoisting my sword to her neck. I am ready to end it for us she had been causing trouble for us for a while and I am done with her nonsense and her games.
"To give us more time in till you interrupted." Heflin said and held out her emblem as a saddened forgotten memory must had slipped into her mind as her face drooped from mean to a acting kindhearted look.
"I may government born but I am on your side None. Remember that day, the shop, your apartment!" Heflin is now rambling to me. I know that she is trying to hint about the day that I can't get out of my mind but she is saying there is more to that so I listened in and she kept going. "That day we went to the ice cream parlor just before the bombing because I am supposed to be captured too" she explained then she backtracked a little and her eyes narrowed to her feet. "And was."
I was still confused about everything that she was saying. I could gather was that she was supposed to trigger something but what. She hustled back in shock, possibly stunned that I haven't put the pieces together yet. "Come," she finally said "We have to prepare for battle."
"Battle." Was the only word that would slip out of my mouth because I just put together a peace of a very important picture, my dream from the field was somehow a peace of my past.
