3. section 3

I came back to my room and hid the info under my pillow. I knew that the pillow wasn't a very good hiding spot but it had to do. Miss Aberdeen came into my room.

"My, we have a fast runner. We thought you were gone as fast as you went."   Miss Aberdeen said as she started to put a new IV in my other arm. "So why did you go?" she asked as her eyes played mind games for me as she jabbed the nettle into my skin witch for some odd way it felt good to me.

"I wanted to see Arrow." I lied even though it was kind of the truth. I want her by my side now more than ever to explain the questions that were racing through my mind.

"You could of had told us Honey, we would have made arrangements you didn't have to go away." she explained clearly not buying my excuse.

"Either way, you want anything for supper?" She asked I was surprised to hear the word supper; I quickly turned to see the clock. It was about seven. My tummy growled in response and I nodded yes.

"Good, I'll go grab it." she chuckled as she left the room. I was alone for a short moment but I thought I might as well hide the info a little bit better. I thought about the mattress but it was too easy to find if they switched the sheets on the bead. There was a single table by me that I never noticed that I had till now since I was now looking for a secrete storage aria. I also noticed a TV in front of me. I knew that would be the best spot for the info. I stood up and examined the TV and found a hole just big enough for the papers. I stuffed them in the hole and examined my work. I nodded my head to myself in pleaser. I realized that I ripped off some of the wires I had on during the escape. It felt good to just think that they wouldn't stick them back onto me. I smiled as I tried to find the remote. When I did I turned the TV on and flipped the stations on to the news.

"Now a recap on the headline tonight, the memorial of several people that was inside when planes bombed the apartment at Arviroin and Carting roads. Those died were the famous government officials Ariana, and  her husband Carelos Mvarteana and many other officials like Arron and Fide Owens and Carol More and Trece Moroven and several more. There were several children that were in the blast as well. There will be several closed coffin funerals that would be assembled for families and friends and another for one who wanted to have last..." the reporters said till I switched the TV to a kids station.

The two carters danced willy-nilly on the screen. Ironically happy in a world where grief is overwhelming for some adults while the children have no idea what is going on, or if they do know but it doesn't faze them.

I stared at the television in wonder of a child.  I also wondered if Arrow was watching the same thing or if the doctors was checking her records if they had been true up to this point. But it didn't matter much my fate had been sealed for now.

Miss Aberdeen came into the room unannounced witch was strange. She was carrying a large platter that was covered in a plastic container on a bedside try. She set it on my bed carefully and opened the lid and saw that they had given me trescamel, (turkey with corn meal on top or in this case cornbread on the side.) and musca (an Arroven red potato side dish with veggies and meet flower gravy, almost a meal in itself sometimes.) and a small shaving of butter on the bread. It looked so good that I wanted to shovel it all into my mouth but I stopped and stared at it. I didn't want to get poisoned on their behalf.

"It's ok hon, see" she said as she took a small chunk of my cornbread and threw it into her mouth and swallowed.  I wasn't convinced but I ate the cornbread first just to make her happy she kept her eagle eyes on me in till I ate most of the whole meal. Then she swooped the try away leaving me alone.

"Now what?" I asked myself then I just flatted my bed. But my body decided for me, sleep.
