26. ch 26

“Here we are for the final time in front of people.” I said excitedly as I was happy to be in front of everyone. I knew that Sin will be gone forever soon so I was not worried about her escaping since I made sure that she was going FAR away.

“I know that Crimz would be happy to see this.” Leroy chimed.
“We were going to do the one thing that we all wished that happened in the first time and I am glad that we put Dex within the Conners name. She was excited to be yours.”  I chimed and could only wonder what would this world be like but there would be peace sooner than what happened and nothing would had truly changed.

The screams were almost gone by now but when they showed they were still painful. I hoped to get rid of those screams while I wanted them to be suppressed soon while I stayed where I was.

“Are you ready?” Sarpie asked and I nodded.

We stepped out into the platform that we had set up before. The treaty was in the back and waiting for the world to know that the doves can fly free without fear of being shot at. I can see the cameras and journalists while when we were capturing Sin it was just a few news cameras that knew what was going on…somewhat.

“I wish Crimzen could see this.” Leroy said and I was happy that we were finally put this to rest and do the one thing that Crimzen wanted me to do since we were going to let the doves fly without fear of being hunted down.

I could hear the clicks of cameras with the lights saying that they were rolling and introducing us as we went on to the stage, just like the first time when Crimzen died. The time when Sin died was a lot more of a private setup than what it is right now.

The butterflies flew everywhere in my stomach tossed and turned as I hoped that Sin was the last one that we need to hunt. There will always be people that disturb what the treaty says but they would be just hiccup compared to Sin, though I knew that we shouldn’t count her out of the running in the means of escape.

I felt each flash as a cleanse of something more while everyone fell silent that was in front of us. Every single one was something more than a flash as it was now capturing a piece of history while I come to the stage.

“Miss Heart?” The head chimed while I can see the treaty behind him saying that this was the moment that everyone had been waiting for.

“I am ready.” I chimed with confidence while I made my way a few steps to the podium. I stood in front of everyone and felt a tear come across my eyes when I stared at the podium.

“I am natural and unnatural at the same time.” I started but then my mind went blank and I started over without a beat. “Crimzen Conners was my best friend and I would like to dedicate this to her. She had left to show that I am the correct person to lead the world, but not alone. My father is Darkness, the one that left and came back, and Ally, my long lost friend.”

Then they happened. I hear one voice at first but then they came harshly. I tried to ignore them but I could not this time. I felt their stabs to where they were trying to put me in front of a firing squad. I could hear the words of “Stop it,” “Move on,” and “Please don’t shoot.”

“Dessum, is something wrong?” I see Leon mouth and I tried to ignore the screams as I knew that they were going to be my own downfall if I don’t listen to guidance.

“I can’t fight the screams this time.” I said and knelt. For a bit, not in defeat but to get the strength to stand and say what is on my mind, my past. This was going to be the last peace to the puzzle that I need to end this journey that had been going on for way too long.

“But you can fight them or at least find a way to calm them.” Ally said in my ear and I knew that she was right. I knew that I am forgetting something that each of these screams are calling for the recognition that they needed and deserved.

“I think I know.” I said and I didn’t realize that I spoke right into the mike or that I managed to bounce back so soon. Every set of eyes was on me as I didn’t have a clue on what to say so I just went with what I was going with. “W-what they are wanting me to show that there was more that have died for this peace treaty to happen!” I said and I had my speed since I was letting someone else talk instead of using my own words. It felt unnatural to me but I let it work. “Every person that passed in the Sinadelian war should never be forgotten, like any war. Each one was special and important to the war weather it was one bit or another warrior that was in the Resistance they still had a hand in what we are. Even the Mercenaries that were within the middle for money had the biggest impact since they illuminated the key and the unimportant people of that time and even now. To each of you, I say this peace treaty is for you.” I said and I felt a weight lift off of my shoulders and looked back at the head leader of the last country to motion back to the treaty. “I think I covered everything, is there anything that you want to state?” I asked and he leaned forward into the microphone.

“I would have never said better.” He chimed and winked at me. “Let’s make this official.”

We walked over and grabbed a pen, each. Every person, the head of the country, me, Leon, Leroy, Darkness, and now Ally singed on the lines that was assembled on the bottom of the page to make this official and welcoming. The silent fields was nothing but cameras clicking away at the moment while I smiled as I faced them.

“Ally, do you want to hold the treaty?” I asked and she looked like I sent her to die. She was silent while she came forth to grasp one end of the document and Darkness, no Dennis or in my mind Sarpie, was in the middle with me on the end. The click of the cameras was stinging my eyes now but I don’t care while I can tell there were many souls that flew that moment to the next world.
