2. Chapter 2

I woke up with a start, sitting straight up in my bed as I tried to catch my breath. My clothes were soaked in sweat, my breathing rapid and my skin feeling clammy. I closed my eyes, thanking the lord that it had only been a dream. Everything that happened last night rushed back to me, Bradyn's bloody nose, the text. Thankfully, the unknown number who I presumed to be the boy had not contacted me after that.

I pushed the covers off my body, my legs swinging over the side of the mattress. I took one last deep breath, my feet hitting the carpeted floor. I strolled toward my dresser, pulling open the wooden drawer and scanning the clothes neatly folded inside. I pulled out a comfy t shirt, followed by a pair of simple denim skinny jeans. My only plans today were to find out what the hell happened last night with Bradyn.

I pushed open my bathroom door, grabbing a towel and setting it on the counter along with my clothes. I looked at my reflection in the mirror, grimacing at what I saw. Tear tracks stained my face, black makeup stuck to my cheeks and around my eyes, giving me the very unpleasant, 'raccoon look'.

I stripped out of pajamas, kicking the pj bottoms aside with my foot as I peeled the top from my upper body. I turned the shower on the settings I like, pushing the shower curtain aside as I stepped in. The warm water trickled down my body, ridding it of any sweat as well as the makeup and tears from my face. I made sure to get my dark hair under the stream, soaking it, thus making it turn into an almost black color. I shrugged off the observation as I picked up the shampoo bottle, squirting some into the palm of my hands and lathering it up.

Once out, I wrapped the white towel around my body. Another towel went atop my head, my hair wrapped inside of it. I dropped the towel once my body was dried, pulling on my undergarments. I wiggled and hopped up and down as I pulled the jeans up my legs, then throwing the t shirt on.

I brushed through my hair, getting rid of any knots. I decided to skip makeup, and went back into my room to find my shoes.

I laced the black vans up on my feet, then grabbing my phone. I skipped down the stairs, hearing my mum busy in the kitchen.

"Hey mum" I said casually, pushing open the kitchen door. She looked startled for a second, her body jumping as she stopped mixing the pancake batter for a second. I tilted my head in confusion, she seemed to regain her cool once her eyes met mine.

"Oh, morning Scar" she smiled, looking back down at the food she was preparing. I eyed her carefully, walking across the kitchen and taking a seat on in one of the chairs at our dining table. Sad as it is, there was only two chairs placed in the kitchen.

"Are you alright"? I asked her. I could see her muscles stiffen for a second, before they relaxed. "Yeah, I'm just a bit off this morning" she explained.

The pancakes were set infront of me, syrup and a fork had already been on the table. I drizzled some maple syrup onto the fluffy cakes, cutting them up and taking a forkful of it into my mouth.

Once I finished, I put my silverware and plate in the sink. I pushed open the doors, my mum sat on the couch with her legs curled up, reading a book.

"Hey mum, I'll be out for a bit" I called, walking towards the front door. She immediatley jumped up from her spot on the couch, coming to stand infront of me, blocking the door.

"Mum, what on earth are you doing"? I asked, bewildered.

"Bradyn went on vacation" she said, obviously a lie. She gave me a weak smile, hoping I'd believe the false explanation.

"Mhm, I'm sure that's true. Just move" I told her, growing frustrated.

"Don't talk to me like! It's for your own good".

"What's for my own good"?! I yelled.

"Sh! He'll hear us" she spoke, looking around the livingroom. I really believed my mum needed a one week stay at the nuthouse.

"Who will hear us"?!

"The boy" she whispered. I froze. I knew who she was talking about, the term could only be relevant to a certain person. I just needed confirmation at this conclusion.

"Blonde, blue eyes, muscles, tattoos"? I asked. She nodded. I felt anger boil inside of me. Now knowing what he was capable of, I wanted him nowhere near whom meant something to me. He had obviously had a few words with my mum, something I didn't appreciate.

"Stay here" I told her, grabbing the doorknob and twisting it. I didn't even get her word for it, I simply slammed the front door closed in my haste.

I began walking down the sidewalk, burning off some steam. Something wasn't right here, if he had taken the time to actually show up at my house, then something was definitely wrong. How did he even know where I lived. I shuddered at the thought of the boy near my house at night. gasped as I was suddenly pushed against the wall of a house that was down the block from mine. My body hit the brick with a lot of force, making me wince. My eyes shut closed as I tried to move my aching back, but someone was holding me down.

I peeked one eye open, both eyes now wide with fear at the realization. I filled my lungs with air to scream, but his large hand clamped over my mouth, muffling any sounds that I attempted to make.

"You and I both know that'd be very, very stupid of you" he dared.

I pressed myself further into the wall, fear commandeering my body as I tried as hard as I could to increase the space between our bodies. I looked up at him, a smirk played on his face as he watched the reaction he was drawing from me.

He removed his hand from my mouth, his fingers grazing my arm as his hand came to rest on my waist, purposefully pressing me harder into the wall.

"Please don't hurt me" I whimpered, tears forming in my eyes. His expression changed, softening by the slightest, his dark and intimidating demeaner still present.

"I wouldn't hurt you" he stated, frowning at me. I couldn't really believe him, I mean he was hurting me at the moment, his grip on my hips starting to hurt.

I moved my hands up to his chest, attempting to push him away. But he wouldn't budge, his strength overpowered mine by a vast amount. I continued to do so, my hope growing slimmer and slimmer when his body didnt move any further from mine, while his smirk grew wider and wider.

"Please just leave me alone" I pleaded, my fingers gripping his t shirt in defeat. I wanted nothing more than for him to be out of my life. I already knew he was no good. But he was making apsolutely no effort to leave me be.

"I don't think so".

"Please" I asked, looking up at him. He stared at me for a second, I was almost caught in the harsh gaze he held, his blue eyes were like something I've never seen before.

"Who are you"? I asked.

He seemed hesitant to answer. What was so bad about giving me his name?

"Well, that's cool. I'm leaving now" I told him, shoving him back.

"Fine. Just don't go anywhere, and don't think, about seeing anyone else" he told me. I once again felt angry, he couldn't just control me like this. I wanted to wipe that stupid smirk off his face, but something was holding me back. I just couldn't bring myself to do it for some reason.

"Don't tell me what to do" I told him. I tried to sound brave and confident, but I was failing miserably. He could tell that I was in fear of him, using that to his advantage.

He leaned forward, his lips coming close to my ear. Though his breath was warm, I shivered as I felt it on my neck.

"Try me" he dared me once again. I could already tell it wasn't a good idea to test Niall, he showed a short temper, giving me reason to not push any further.

I couldn't form words to speak, my voice caught in my throat. I swallowed, my eyes closing, I knew he was watching my every move, taking notice on my reactions.

I let out a sigh of relief as the grip he had on my hips vanished, a confident smirk plastered on his face as he strolled away. That one smirk just built up the anger in me, I didn't know how to handle this. Even though I had only known who he was for such a short time, he was already getting me to react to him.

I pushed myself off the wall, angrily making my way back home. An idea suddenly popped in my head, an evil smirk grew on my face as I pulled my phone out from my pocket. Scrolling through my contacts, I found the  intended target.
