4. Chapter 3

Marie had known Louis all his life. They were in diapers together, kindergarten, all school years. In fact, she is one of the only people to know his secret. Because she was there when it happened. When Marie and Louis were 9 years old, they had a play date. Their parents were outside, Marie was sitting on the couch talking to Louis, when suddenly a man in black appeared in front of them, telling young Louis to stick a fork in the power outlet in the wall. Louis obeyed the man's commands and went to the kitchen in search of the utensil. Marie, even though she was young, knew something was wrong. Her best fried was not this stupid. Louis came back and did as the man said. Not matter how much Marie protested, Louis had to do it. As Louis put the top of the fork in the outlet, the man in black vanished. Louis' body fell flat on the floor, every hair on his body standing straight up, convulsing. Marie screamed and rushed to alert the parents outside. They called an ambulance and demanded Marie tell them the story. She did. They didn't believe her. Throughout the years, she was called crazy and ignored by everyone. Louis was her only friend. Her parents decided to move her to a different school when she was 14 to help her with her social issues. Though she had left Louis, she made many more new friends at her new school. But, of course, she never forgot Louis. And to this day, they are still very close friends. So, Marie had already met the boys, so when she was invited over for a movie night, she happily accepted. She knew about the rest of the boys as well, and loved to tease them about it. So, when she and the Fantastic Five were all together and watching the Avengers, she couldn't help but bring up how much better looking Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth than the boys. Once she noticed that Louis was getting mad, she smiled. Marie and Louis have that weird relationship. You know, the one where everyone thought the would fall in love one day and have weird children. But for right now, she is currently dating a boy by the name of Tyler. Louis hasn't ever met him, but he has heard a lot about him from Marie. He is so perfect. Dreamy. Amazing. I love him. Louis doesn't like Marie that way, but to him, it gets pretty frickin' annoying. Tyler has Marie on such a tight leash to the point where she has to get permission to go out and do stuff. Louis knows it, and couldn't believe that he let her come tonight, to watch a movie with 5 guys. After the movie, Marie hears her phone go off. It's in her purse, which is placed right next to Louis. He reaches in and frowns at the caller ID. He press the green button and holds the phone to his ear, ignoring Marie's protests. “Hello?” He says. "Who the hell is this?” Tyler's gruff voice says. “Louis, give me my phone!” Marie protests. “This is Louis.” Louis says, smirking. “Oh, so you're Louis? Oh, well, tell Marie I'm on my way to pick her up.” Tyler's voice, getting a little agitated. “But we've only watched one movie!” “Does it sound like I give a fuck?” Tyler's voice says. “Whatever.” Louis says, hanging the phone up. “LOUIS!” Marie screams. “What?” Louis says, pretending like he did nothing. “Whatever. What did he say?” “He's coming to pick you up.” Louis says, sightly annoyed. Marie nods her head, knowing that her boyfriend is typically like this. “What? Nothing to say? Just abandoning your best friend?” Louis says. “Louis, you don't understand. He just gets a little jealous, that's all.” “JEALOUS?! This is the 3rd movie night he's stolen from me this month! I have a right to see you! He is fucking psycotic!” “Louis, I love him!” Marie screams. “You have no right-” Her rant is interrupted by a pounding on the door. “That's him. I have to go.” She mutters, grabbing her bag and her phone out of Louis' clenched hands. Marie takes quick steps to the front door. As she opens it, an arm reaches in and pulls her out. “Let's go.” Tyler's gruff voice says, yanking Marie's petite frame out of the doorway. Louis watched from the door as his best friend was yanked across the driveway and into a car. Tyler, then, speeds down the street.
