Don't Look For Me

Cayn gets overwhelmed with her life, her boyfriend doesn't seem right for her, and her family falling apart piece by piece. She runs away from home, only to meet up with a girl named Dee.

3. In my head...

After my 'locker' incident, I rushed to P.E. with Mr. Lass and started changing, keeping my eyes averted from the other shirtless girls, scared about my sexuality. I didn't want to be caught staring.

    "SIT-UPS! ONE!...TWO!...THREE!.." Mr.Lass shouted (I swear, that man's always shouting)

I did the stretches, but honestly, my mind was somewhere far far over the rainbow. Beck... why does she affect me more than Jake has ever since we became partners? What was it about Jake that I wasn't attracted to?

I snapped out of my daze and all of my classmates all laughed and said stupid shit like "space cadet" and "someone forgot her focus pills this morning" which added to the roar of laughter. I stood up on shaky, embarrassed legs, aware that my face was scarlet. "Shut the fuck up." I muttered. No one seemed to hear.

      "Readyyyy........GO!" Mr.I-am-an-asshole shouted (again)

Immediately, all of the athletic boys rushed forward on both sides, and started pelting eachother with balls. I wove up and down, and side-to-side, dodging the rubber balls that flew in my direction. All of the popular girls, I noticed, huddled in the back. Probably protecting their perfectly chiseled nails. I laughed bitterly. They have no cares in the world.  I turned my head back to the game, and got nailed in the face. With a basket ball. My last thought before I passed out was: "Why is there a basket ball in this game?"

Then I slumped forward, and felt my head crack on the polished wood.
