I'll take you away, I'll keep you hidden. I'll protect you, I'll love you. Now that we're here we can do what we want. We can be who we want to be. This is our life, this is our beginning and our ending, this is our happily ever after. (The last of the 'tomorrowland' trilogy)

7. where did the party go

"What's it called again?" Harry asked for the thousandth time.

"Paleo," I said to him in response to his one thousandth time. "It's a music festival, I read about it in a hipster magazine a few months back. It seemed interesting and I'm sure Zayn nor Niall would miss a good music festival, having Tomorrowland a few months away."

"She's right," said Liam. "We'll have to head to Geneva."

"I don't understand why," Louis crossed his arms, shrugging. "They obviously don't want to be found so why go get them?"

He wasn't all that wrong.

"Actually," I begun to speak. "He has a point."

"We're still going," Liam persisted. "End of story. We'll leave tomorrow morning."

He went back into the house, letting the patio door stay open.

"He's still the same old Liam," Harry said aloud and I looked at him questioningly.

He made eye contact with be before continuing. "His head is telling him to stay away but the rest of his body wants to go to that festival. That's who Liam always was. He wanted the danger, the risk, and the excitement of being at a festival."

"Why doesn't he go to more of them? They're all over the world, I know, I've been to a lot."

They both chuckle. Louis picks up Lily and places her on his hip.

"Don't you get it," Louis said. "The reason he doesn't go is because of you. He's scared. Even though he says he's gotten over what happened in Tomorrowland years ago, he won't ever let it go. He's convinced that it will happen again, but at the same time, I'm sure he can't stop thinking about the drugs and loud music."

I exhaled loudly, and start spinning a piece of hair around my index finger. "I still don't understand him. We've been together for so long, but it feels like we've learned nothing about one another."

"It's Liam," Harry said as though it was a given fact. "He wants to act like he has the world under his feet. The thing is he can't live without you."

"Which is why you and him are so different. We've been around when Liam was with lots of girls and you are the first one to be around this long." Louis let's Lily down off his hip and she runs away towards her toys. "Besides, you got him to think about a kid. If he was the Liam we remembered a long time ago, he would be running out the door by now."

"Then we obviously don't understand one another still, because I have no idea what's going through his head. Louis, he's been gone, throughout the night and sometimes he doesn't return until the afternoon the next day."

"What?" Harry started, confusion crossing his face.

"How long has he been doing this, Boston?" Louis questioned almost too quickly. They were understanding something I didn't.

"Since we've moved here," I said, shrugging.

"I'll be back," said Louis as he moved past me.

"Daddy?" Lily looked up at Louis as she stood up on like a toddler can.

"Stay with Daddy, Lil," he said back at her as he opened the patio door and almost slammed it shut behind him.

"Daddy?" Lily said again but this time tugged onto Harry's leg. He placed his hand over her head and smiled down at her.

"It's alright." He soothed her worrying face.

"Harry?" It was my turn to question.

"Let's go play," he said and Lily ran away squealing until she got to her toys. "Don't worry, Louis will handle it." He gave me a small smile before he rejoined Lily and I, unsure of my feelings, followed him.
