I'll take you away, I'll keep you hidden. I'll protect you, I'll love you. Now that we're here we can do what we want. We can be who we want to be. This is our life, this is our beginning and our ending, this is our happily ever after. (The last of the 'tomorrowland' trilogy)

16. it's a world filled with hell

. . . 4 Months Later . . .

I woke with a the strongest cramp and pain in the world. I shot up in bed and Liam slowly started to wake as I tried to catch my breath.

"What's wrong?" I says, his voice thick from sleep and his accent making his words slur together.

"The weirdest pain," and then it happens again. I stand up and Liam is quick to turn on the light. The fresh new illumination ignites onto my growing baby. I was almost four months now and everything was going great...until tonight.

Liam walked in front of me and placed his hand onto my grown tummy. He does it a lot but this time his eyes weren't filled with joy and he didn't smile up at me.

"We're going to the hospital," he says quietly and I shake my head.

"No," I say still shaking my head. "I'm fine, just a cramp."

Then it happens again. It's so bad that I lean over my hands clamping onto Liam's arms.

"No, we're going. Now."

He helps me to the door and I almost scream as the pain overwhelms me.

"Is everything alright?" Louis emerges from his shared bedroom with Harry as we walk passed him.

"Something's wrong," Liam immediately says.

"Nothing's wr--," more pain.

"Take her to the hospital," Louis says and he pushes his black glasses up on his nose.

"That's where I'm going Louis, where do you think I'm taking her?"

"Do you need help?" Louis continued to question.

"No!" Liam almost shouted and I held onto him as I felt my knees failing beneath me.

He picked me up in his arms and took me down the stairs. I knew Louis was following and Harry was bound to wake.

"Liam," I gasped his name. "It doesn't feel right."

"What? What doesn't feel right?" He looked down at me with concern.

"The baby," I breathed as Louis opened the door for us and we made our way to the nearest hospital.

. . . Liam . . .

I've been pushed into the waiting room seven times and was threatened to be escorted by the police twice. I hated not being with her and that's what they were doing. Keeping her from me. Bo had been in that operating room for hours and I could do nothing.

They placed a hospital officer with me and he sat opposite of me going through a magazine.

I had my elbows touching my knees as my hands covered my mouth. My foot tapping as seconds pass on the clock staring down at me.

The sun was rising and I knew Louis and Harry would be here soon. Louis offered to come, but I didn't need to be questioned like I always am.

The waiting was killing me. I stood up and my assigned officer looked up at me. I needed to see her.

"Sit down, son," the officer said. I hated that he called me that. He was probably old enough to be my dad, but I was old enough to be my own man.

"What's taking so long?" I begin to pace and I probably look like a madman by now.

"Liam?" I looked up to hopefully see Bo but it was Harry. "What's going on? Louis told me that you left early in the morning with Boston."

"She woke up with some type of pain. I don't know because no one tells me anything!" I shouted the last part of my sentence and looked passed Harry and towards the nurses station. They stared back at me but then continued to go back to their work.

"Who's this?" Harry nodded towards the officer.

"I was having difficulty listening to rules," I say and Harry chuckles. I didn't need laughter. "Is Louis coming?"

"He dropped Lil off at the babysitter, then he'll be here."

"You drove separately?" I wasn't use to their distance between one another.

"Yeah," he says before picking up a magazine. "We haven't been on the same page lately."

His words caused me to sit down beside him. "What's going on? I didn't notice anything differently."

"It's Niall and Zayn," he says as he flips through the magazine. "I guess Lou found them and ever since he's acted differently."

"Differently? I didn't notice--."

"No, you were taking care of Boston just like you should be."

"So what's so different?"

"Well I found out why he was being so distant and so different," he dropped the magazine back on the table and looked back at me. "He's been buying drugs from them. Not something simple either, but strong drugs. Stuff they would pass around in raves and shit like that."

"I get why you would be upset but Harry, we aren't teenagers anymore. If he wants to do drugs let him--."

"No, Liam. You don't get it. I don't care if he wants to destroy himself, but think about Lil! What if she found ecstasy or LSD? She would be in this hospital too."

"Then make him hide it?" I wasn't really sure why he was making such a deal about this. Maybe because I was the type to not give a shit and do what I want.

"It scares me Liam," he says instead of yelling at me further; his voice dropping several octaves. "I'm afraid I lost him."

"I'm sure that's not true," I begin to say as I see a nurse coming out of one of the operating room. God, I hope it someone from Bo's room.

She walks closer and my pulse quickens.

"Liam Payne?"

I stood immediately and she lowers the surgical mask from her mouth.I feel Harry beside me in seconds.

She glances at him and I nod telling her it was okay if he hears.

"We've tried so hard," she starts and I can slowly feel my heart dropping. "There were complications."

"Please save me the sob story," I snap.

She takes a couple seconds before continuing. "We couldn't save him."

{A/N: I hope you enjoyed! A little sad, I know but hey this could happen in real life.}
