Long Lost Princess

In a land far away there lives the Princess you thought you knew. Princess Rapunzel is like nothing any of the stories have described her as. She's no longer the dainty princess left to her own devices, trapped in a tower. She's a bad ass fighting machine. She learns of the Witch's betrayal early on in the story, and the story continues to share her trials of returning to her Kingdom.

Chapter Six: Possession

Victor raced to the now unconscious princess, his daughter. He prayed to the Lord above that the king had not heard the true father of the girl. The girl now possessed by the witch Meredith; the king's former lover. Victor checked the girl's pulse, and found one, it was faint but it was there. The king stood over Victor as the knight checked for injuries on the Princess.

"Seth go and get the doctor! Now and Father Joseph!"

"Yes sir Victor." Seth disappeared, reluctant to leave the princess alone.

"My king we must find a cure for Rapunzel's insanity!" The king knelt to the stone floor.

"I have waited eighteen years to have my daughter back in my castle. Now to have found out that she is now insane because she killed the monster that kidnapped her and murdered her mother is enough to make me do anything...to help her. Victor she may not be my daughter but she is your's but; she will be my daughter we will never tell her your her father you will always be Uncle to her. Do you understand?"

"Yes my king."

"Your lucky I didn't find out about your betrayal when my wife was alive." The king stood; scooping up the unconscious Rapunzel as he did so.

"The doctor,"

"Send him up to her chambers. I won't allow her to catch cold on the stones of the castle." The king turned and left the throne room. Victor sat on the steps of the throne pedestal and let his head fall into his hands. The king, his brother knew of his treachery. How could a man come back from that? The heavy oaken doors burst open to reveal a worried looking Seth, the doctor and the Father Joseph.

"Victor! Where is Princess Meredith?"

"The king took his daughter to her chambers. He didn't want her to catch cold." Seth looked relieved;"Where did you think she was?"

"On a murderous rampage on the village." Seth replied calmly." I don't know Victor! Why don't you try to imagine my surprise when I'm told to leave my love to go fetch the help and then come back and find her gone!"

"I'm sorry Seth. Let me take you to her." Victor rose, his old age making his bones move with apprehension.
