5. I Really Like You

~xStylesGirlx here! Enjoy!!!~

Aubrie's P.O.V.

Sarah and I went out to the car. I jumped in and squealed with excitement. "I am so excited for you!" I almost yelled. "Aubrie, calm down." she said laughing. She was playing it cool, but I could tell that she was 100% freaking out on the inside.

We went to the mall. We went into a store. "How about this one?" I asked, pointing to a short, black dress. She shook her head. "To dark." she said. Normally whenever I go shopping with Sarah she is extremely picky. And I normally bug her about it. But this is important, so she can be as picky as she wants.

We shop for what seems like hours before we find something. It was a flowy, red, strapless dress that fell to right above the knee. We picked out some black heals, accessories and tons of other things. We paid and left.

"So when is your date?" I asked Sarah. She shrugged. "You don't know?!" I asked shocked. "Probably tonight or tomorrow." she told me. As soon as we got to the hotel, I pushed Sarah into our room and told her to stay there. "I'm just asking Niall about your date. Now stay." I ordered.

I went over to the boys room and knocked on the door. Zayn answered. He must be the door answer-er around here. "Hey, Zayn. Is Niall around?" I asked. "Sure. Come on in." he said warmly. I walked in. Liam and Louis were sitting in the living room. Harry's voice rang from the hallway. "Did someone get th-" he started. "Oh, hey Aubrie." he said smiling at me. He had a blanket wrapped around his waist so I was pretty sure he wasn't wearing anything under it. I just smiled back.

Niall came out of the bedroom. "Hey, Aubs. What's up?" he asked. I motioned him to follow me out into the hallway. He closed the door behind him. "So when is your date with Sarah?" I asked. He chuckled. "Umm, I don't know." he said. "Because we're leaving tomorrow afternoon." I told him. His eyes widened. "Tomorrow?! Can't you guys stay longer? I mean..." I shook my head. "It would cost us a fortune to stay any longer." I sighed.

He shook his head. "You're staying. I'll pay for it." he said. "Niall, that's really nice of you but you really don't have t-" I started. Niall interrupted me. "No. I want to. And I'm going to. We're staying here for 6 more days and so are you." he insisted. I smiled and hugged him. "Thanks, Nialler. You're the best." I told him. He pulled away.

"So about that date..." I said, getting back on subject. "Oh, right. Well, is tonight okay?" he asked. I smiled. "Tonight is perfect. I'll tell her to get ready." I said. We both went back into our rooms. Sarah leaped off the couch. "Well?! What did he say?" she asked, clearly excited. "Tonight." I told her. She squealed and ran into the bathroom to get ready.

I was watching TV when the was a light knock on the door. I stood up and opened it. "Hey, Harry." I said, staring up at the green-eyed beauty. "H-Hey." he stuttered. "Do you like, want to, hang out tonight? Just here in the hotel?" he asked nervously. "I'd love to." I said smiling.

He walked into the room. We both heard Sarah frantically trying to get ready. "Sarah getting ready for her date with Niall?" he asked. I giggled and nodded. "Yeah. Niall's pretty nervous, too. Which is weird. He's not normally this nervous around girls. But I'm not either, so...erm, I mean..." he said, clearly nervous. "Well, I'm not normally this nervous around guys." I told him, trying to make him feel better.

We both looked into each others eyes. He started to lean in. I did the same. Just when our lips were mere inches away from each other the bathroom door slammed open. We jerked away quickly. "What do you think?" Sarah asked, spinning around. She looked absolutely stunning. "You look amazing!" I exclaimed. Harry nodded in agreement. She took a deep breath before walking out the door. "Good luck!" I called right before the door closed.

I stared at the door for a moment before turning back to Harry. He was staring at me. "What?" I asked blushing. He blushed as well. "Oh, nothing." he said quietly. We sat in silence for a while before Harry spoke up. "Aubrie, do you remember the day I moved away in 5th grade?" he asked. I nodded. I remembered every detail. It was like the worst day of my life.

"Remember at lunch when I was really upset? Well, I wasn't upset because I was leaving all my friends. I was upset because I was leaving the girl that I really liked." I thought about who it would have been. Probably Ellie Naone. Or maybe Paige Muller. Since they were both really pretty and popular.

"It was awful because she never talked to me. And she never seemed to know I existed." he continued. I didn't know how that was possible since he was the most popular boy in school. "But she talked to me that last day. And it made me feel so much better to know that she knew I existed. She didn't say much, but she didn't need to. Just hearing her voice made everything so worth it. She was the prettiest girl in school by far, but she didn't know it. And even though she wasn't extremely "popular", she was still cool. She was always herself. Always laughing and making jokes. That's what I liked about her. All the popular girls were snobby and always pretended to be something they weren't but she didn't. She was...special."

Well, that rules out Ellie and Paige...but who else is left? I sighed, knowing for a fact that it wasn't me.  "Harry, I'm sure she liked you, too. And I know that she was sad to see you go. Everyone was. School was so...so different after you left." I told him. He looked at me and sighed.

"I just wish I had the guts to tell her how I feel. And even if I did, I'd have no idea what to say." he said. I put my hand on his. "Just tell her how you truly feel about her. Don't think about it. Just let it out. I know for a fact that she will feel the same way about you." I said. "You really think so?" "Harry, I know so. You're sweet, kind, handsome and not to mention super talented." I told him.

He smiled. "Just call her right now. Tell her how much she means to you." I said, standing up. He stood up, too. "You know, I will." he said confidentially. He walked into the hallway. A few seconds later my phone started to ring. I slowly picked it up.

"H-Hello?" I stuttered nervously.

"Aubrie, you mean the world to me. You're so pretty and kind and just amazing. When I saw you at the bakery, I was totally freaking out inside. It was so great to see your smile again. And I just want you to know that I really like you. Everything about you is beautiful. A day doesn't go by where I don't think about you. Ever since I left 8 years ago, you've been on my mind. I mean, I really like you, Aubrie." Harry told me.

I didn't know what to say. I went out in the hallway where Harry was standing. "You really think that?" I asked. "Yeah. I do." he whispered. "Harry, I-I like you, too. I've liked you since we met in kindergarten. And I thought that you didn't know I existed. I was always so nervous to talk to you because, well, you were popular. And I knew I didn't have a chance. So when you left that day, I was as upset as you were." I told him.

He smiled. He leaned down so our foreheads were touching. I got lost in his mesmerizing green eyes. The next thing I knew our lips were touching. He kissed me ever so gently but at the same time, passionately. I felt butterflies in my stomach. It was perfect. After a few moments, we pulled away.

"You have no idea how long I've been wanting to do that." he told me. "Same." I said, before pushing my lips onto his again. "You want to watch a movie at my place?" he asked. "Sure." I said nodding. We went into his room. The boys were all sitting in the living room on the phones/laptops. They didn't even notice us go into the bedroom.

"What movie?" I asked. "You pick." he said handing me the remote to the TV. I scrolled through the different movies. I eventually decided on none other than, Love Actually. Since it was one of Harry's favorite movies. And I liked it as well.

I started getting drowsy about half-way through it. I glanced up at Harry, who was already asleep and snoring lightly. I turned off the television and snuggled up next to him on the bed. Then I closed my eyes and slowly fell asleep.
