New Girl

Liam Payne fanfic
(Not famous)
Ariah just moved to a small town in Illinois because her mom got a job promotion. She didn't know anybody and already shut the rest of the world out. Until a Charming Brit they call Liam, comes into the picture.

3. Close Call

"I came to the school Freshman year but it was easier for me, considering every Freshman was technically new at the high school. Plus, my Wolverhampton accent really attracts the ladies." He wiggled his eyebrows at me. I snorted and my hand shot up to cover my face. I hit my hand against his chin as it came up, making us both wince. I felt the pink rise in my cheeks as he rubbed his jaw.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to..." Liam started laugh quietly then got louder. I couldn't help but join in but I covered my mouth to hide my ugly smile. I've never liked it so showing it off wasn't at the top of my list. Liam was starting to calm down and really started looking at me. I stopped laughing but I didn't stop smiling so I kept my hands up. Liam took a step closer to me with a serious look on his face. He reached up slowly and pulled my hands away from my lips. I bit my bottom lip to keep from smiling.

"Why do you cover your face?" He asked. I shook my head and looked to the floor. His finger moved to my chin and tilted it my head up, I closed my eyes. "Ariah, open your eyes." I let my lip go from my teeth and opened my eyes slowly. The first thing I saw were those eyes. I couldn't look away. "Ariah... You have the most beautiful smile I have ever seen in my entire life. Your gorgeous hazel eyes only compliment it. I love the way you did your hair today..." He looked down and pulled on a strand of my hair lightly. I lost his gaze and regained the feeling in my body. I saw my bag next to the cabinet and jumped down, bumping into Liam.

"Sorry but I should get to class... Thanks." I rushed out of the bathroom and found the nearest exit out of  school. I half jogged out to my car and as soon as I got in, I hit my head on the steering wheel. Not too hard though, I didn't need anymore injuries. I turned my car on and pulled out of school.

"Literally like, three inches from my face," I said as I threw another gummy bear in the air and caught it in my mouth.

"Oh my God! Why didn't you just kiss him?! He's a hot British guy who actually stood up for you today. He could have left you on the pavement. Oh Ariah, you get on my nerves sometimes..." My best friend from Chicago, Clare, said. We were on the phone during her lunch period. "Sometimes I wish we could switch places, you know?"

"Yeah, yeah..."

"Hey Clare, I got to go. Someone is at the door... Ugh probably UPS. Get to class."

"Stay beautiful, Ariah." She hung up and I threw my phone onto the other couch, grabbed a handful of gummy bears and opened the front door.

The gummies hit the floor.
