Bad Meets Good

Audrey was the good girl. She was 16. She made good grades, played sports, and was popular. Her dad died when she was 3, so she lived with her mom. All in all, she was happy with her life. Harry, on the other hand, was the bad boy. He was 18. He could care less about his grades, you didn't see him much, and he had his own small group of friends that stayed in trouble. They wouldn't get along, right?

1. Chapter 1

"Audrey, wake up! You're gonna be late for school,"  I heard my mom scream from downstairs. I sighed before sitting up in bed. I looked at my clock and it said 6:23. I didn't have to be up for another hour. I got up to see what my mom's problem was. "Mom!" I yelled walking down the stairs. "I don't have to be up for another hour." I said.    "I know," she said back.   "Today's the first day of your fall break too."   "Then why'd you wake me up?" I asked.   "I don't know, it felt like the thing to do," she said laughing.   "Mom, I hate you," I said smiling at her.  "Well, since you hate me I guess I'll have to eat all of these pancakes," she said still laughing.  "Oh my God, Mommy! I love you!" I said jumping around like a five year-old.  She started laughing again, "I love you too, Sweetie."   She handed me a plate, and I grabbed four pancakes and drowned them in syrup. "I have to go to work for a little while," she said rinsing off the plate she had just eaten off of. "Do you want to go shopping after I get back?"  "Yeah, can Sam come with us?" I asked. "I don't care just be ready by 4:00," she said. "Okay, Mom. Thank you," I said taking the last bite of my pancakes.  "You're welcome," she said grabbing my plate off of the table.  "I'll be back later. I'll call you before I get home," she said. "Okay, Mom. Bye. I love you," I said standing up hugging her. "I love you too, Audrey Bug," she said smiling. That was my nickname she gave me when I was a baby.  She walked out the door, and I walked up to my room to get my phone.

'Hey, do you want to go shopping with me and my mom later?' I texted her.  'Yeah sure. What time?'  'A little after 4. Do you wanna come over before then?'  'Yeah. I'm lazy, wanna come pick me up? Lol'   'Sure, but only because I love you, Loser.'  'That's what I thought(;' 'Let me get ready then I'll come get you.'  'kk'

I walked into my bathroom and jumped in the shower. I got out and I put on a pair of pink skinny jeans, a white shirt with a floral scarf, and a pair of Sperry's. I put on a charm bracelet that one of y friends got me for Christmas and a locket that had a picture of my dad and me inside of it.

When I was 3, he was hit by a drunk driver. I hadn't known him for long, but we were super close. I'd never told anybody what had happened to him except for Sam. Every time I think about him I want to break down and cry, so I never talk about him to anybody. I just pretend everything's okay.

I walked out to my car and got in. I drove to Sam's house, and she was waiting on me outside. "What do you want to do, Loser?" I asked her. "It doesn't matter. We can do whatever you wanna do, Idiot," she answer. We both looked at each other and started laughing. "Do you just want to ride around?" I asked. "Sure," she said. We talked about random stuff and acted dumb for about 6 hours, and we wasted like $70 in gas. Then my mom called. "I'm getting off early so I'll be home in about 30 minutes," she said over the phone. "Okay," I said.

We got home about 5 minutes before my mom did, so we waited outside. When she showed up, we got in the car. We shopped until about dark then we started home. My mom was driving, Sam was in the front, and I was in the back. When we were about 30 minutes from home, it started raining. There was a person walking down the road, so my mom stopped and asked them if they needed a ride. My mom stopped next to them and rolled down Sam's window. "Do you need a ride?" she asked. He looked in the car and it was Harry. Sam and I looked at each other. "No, I don't want to waste your time. Thank you though," he said giving her a sweet smile.  "It's fine. We're not in a hurry to get anywhere," my mom offered again. "Well I don't really have a place to stay. My parents just kicked me out, and I don't have enough money to rent a motel room," he explained.  "Well you can stay with me," my mom said. "We have a spare bedroom."  "Okay," he said sweetly. "Thank you, m'am."  He opened the door and sat down next to me. This is the nicest I have ever seen him. He's usually bullying somebody or stealing something. My mom, Sam, and Harry were having a conversation, but I was zoned out. He just seemed so different, but I knew I needed to stay away from him.
