Modeling In Love

Adelaide "Lai" Henderson is one of the most well known models. So it's no surprise that she runs into One Direction at a party, or to be more specific, Harry Styles. The rest of the boys are there all right, but Harry stands out. Certain she won't see them again, she plays around with Harry. But she happens to be the girl in their next music video. Uh-Oh. She runs into Harry and pretends not to recognize him, till Simon decides that since Harry has been getting to much bad press about being a ladies man, he needs a girl to pretend to be Harry's girlfriend and well, she'll be on a contract of course and he'll know, so will his family. But do things escalate when feelings start to develop? What happens when the contract ends and they're forced to part ways, possibly for good?

6. I Guess

Since I was going to be seeing Harry again,  I decided to step up the 'dumb' act, and well I may have found that I like teasing him so I was wearing something a little more revealing, nothing slutty of course but, it was a nice day out, quite warm actually.

So I wore a pair of shorts with crochet lace on one leg, a batman, sleeveless, tie front top, Madden Girl leather combat boots and the same bag as yesterday.

The ride was still long, and I was still stuck on the fourth-to-last level of angry birds when I arrived and John was standing out front. I seriously don't know how he keeps getting places before me.

"Sup, John?" I asked, sliding down the ray bans I'd found wedged between two seats.

"Hello, Lai. Are you ready?"

"Have you at least come up with a decision?" I gave him a guilty smile. "I'll take that as a no."

"Good job. John gets a gold sticker!" I teased.

"Oh shut up and follow me." He laughed and again, lead me towards Mister Cowell's office where I got to sit outside and wait while he finished the meeting with the boys. So naturally, I pulled out my phone and attempted to beat angry birds. Still no success.

In fact, by the time the doors to the board room opened and five boys started to exit and Harry was called back in, I still hadn't beat the level. Damn this game!

A body sat next to me on the bench and peered over at my phone, I looked up at the face of one of the boys. Give me a minute... I know this!

"Louis Tomlinson...?" I asked slowly.

"Correct. You are?"

"Adelaide Henderson. Call me Lai." I responded.

"Well, Lai, are you trying to beat angry birds?"

"Yes. I'm stuck on the fourth-to-last level."

"Here." I handed him my phone and he played around with the birdies for a while, then successfully completed the level and handed it back to me. "Too easy."

"Whatever. I got this game like, two days ago."

"You a singer?" He asked, changing the subject.

"No, I'm a model."

"I didn't know Simon's agency did modeling?"

"They don't. That I'm aware of. Simon asked me to come down today after your video shoot. I was in it, if you don't remember." I told him, tucking my phone into my pocket.

"I do now."

I smiled and then, Simon's assistant poked her head out of the board room and called me in. "Well, that's my cue." I told him with a smile and headed into the room and sat across from Harry. I didn't like the contemplating/worried/mischievous look on his face. Don't ask me how they were all rolled into one, I've no clue.

"Have you made a decision, Miss Henderson?"

"I have a idea about what I wish to do. But it all does depend on Harry's answer." I told him and he looked at Harry.

"Oh, uh..." He looked back down at his hands on the table. "I know what the press has been printing about me. I don't like it, and, like you said, we've tried everything we can to stop them but they don't seem eager to give up on it.  If this is what we have to do, I'll do it." He looked back up at us, and added, "Not that I mind doing it with such a beautiful girl like you." I bit back a rebuttal.

"Alright, that's a yes for Harry, Miss Henderson?"

I took a deep breath. "Like I said, I know what I want to do, but it all depends on Harry's answer. So I'll do it." I said, not meeting their gazes.

"Wonderful, that's two yeses." He turned to his assistant. "Call in Victoria, please."

The woman nodded and left the room. While she was gone, I glanced up at Harry and met his eyes. I could tell he was as worried as I was about this whole thing. If the press got wind of this... It would be worse for him then it was before. Then, the woman came back in with another, Victoria I assume, and she prattled on about rules we would have to follow, things we would have to do and other things.

I glanced at Harry again and saw him roll his eyes sarcastically and I had to try not to giggle. I guess we were off to a good start.
