Scurrilous Stories

"I-It can't be..." she stuttered, stepping back and dropping the black shotgun that was in her hand.
"I-I didn't know it was her love. Please..." he coughed out, crying.
"You killed her!" she screamed, breaking down and collapsing on her knees.
"Baby please. I love you." he said, as she looked up.
There was a brief silence, before a cough was heard.
"I love you too." she cried out, burying her head in her hands.

Sneaky Skip

Nadine Halliday followed Justin out of the school with raised eyebrows. She thought it was strange that after Justin finished his sandwich, he’d just disappear from sight.

She walked around to the side of the school, facing a small walkway, the side from the school showcasing its red bricks.

The other side of the walkway showed freshly watered grass, and when Nadine looked ahead, a familiar face stared back at her.

“Justin what are you doing?” Nadine asked, staring at the cigarette in his left hand.

“N-nothing.” He stuttered, stepping back and running off and disappearing around the corner.

Nadine picked up her pace, running at extreme lengths to catch Justin.

When she turned the corner she saw him running towards the woods on the outskirts of the sports ground.

She gasped slightly at how surprisingly fast he’d made it half a mile across the high-school’s sports ground and into the woods in a mere few seconds.

She headed off towards the woods, nearly tripping over her loose shoelaces. When Nadine reached the woods she was huffing, like she’d just ran a marathon.

‘I should run more.’ she thought.

When she finally caught her breath, she ventured into the woods, and started running again.

“Why did you follow me?” a raspy voice innocently uttered from behind her. She turned around and placed a hand over her chest.

Justin’s eyes were a dark shade of purple, the kind of purple you’d see flashing from bright strobe lights.

She gasped and instantly felt drawn to him.

“I don’t need a potion to make you fall in love with me.” Justin mumbled, which confused Nadine.

“What potion?” Nadine asked Justin, her eyes fixated on his purple irises.

“It’s nothing.” He looking down, which made Nadine frown slightly.

“How are your eyes purple?” Nadine asked, as he looked up again.

“Contacts.” He muttered, shaking his head.

“Oh alright.” Nadine replied, wondering how he put them in so quickly, as she only saw him a few minutes ago, before he started running.

“You followed me.” Justin stated again, flashing her a lop-sided smile.

Nadine blushed slightly, smiling a toothy-grin. She wasn’t exactly sure why she followed him, but he was her friend, she thought.

Well, and the fact that she felt drawn to him, in a loving manner.

‘I do like Justin.’ Nadine finally admitted to herself, and Justin suddenly smiled widely, ear-to-ear.

“What?” Nadine asked him, raising her right eyebrow in suspicion.

He shook his head and Nadine couldn’t help but think he was reading her mind.

She was shaken from her thoughts once again as the siren went, indicating lunch was over and they had 5 minutes before they had to be in class with their books.

Nadine looked over at Justin who was standing straight, like a stone statue, unmoving.

“Are you coming to class?” Nadine asked Justin, who shrugged.

“Nah, I want you to skip with me.” Justin said, smirking sightly.

Nadine’s mouth hung open in shock as she stared at Justin who continued to be unmoving. She blinked twice and shut her mouth, shaking her head.

“Why would you even suggest that? I can’t just skip.” Nadine said, shaking her head again.

“Why not?” Justin asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

Nadine stared into his purple irises and then down at his pouted pink lips.

“Ugh fine.” Nadine breathed out, as Justin smiled and walked over to her. He grabbed her hand and pulled her into him, kissing her lips quickly.

Nadine looked up at him in slight shock but smiled slightly when she saw him admiring her face in awe.

“Are we going now?” Nadine giggled as Justin began to drool slightly.

“Oh yeah… uhm yeah.” Justin stuttered, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand and pulling Nadine through the trees.

She giggled as Justin and her finally made it to the street. He looked left and right on the road for passing cars, before making his way across it, pulling Nadine along with him.

“What are we doing?” Nadine asked, as her face lit up with excitement.

“I want to do something new.” Justin said, puling her along the side-walk.
