Scurrilous Stories

"I-It can't be..." she stuttered, stepping back and dropping the black shotgun that was in her hand.
"I-I didn't know it was her love. Please..." he coughed out, crying.
"You killed her!" she screamed, breaking down and collapsing on her knees.
"Baby please. I love you." he said, as she looked up.
There was a brief silence, before a cough was heard.
"I love you too." she cried out, burying her head in her hands.

18. Shaky Sobbing

|Chapter 18|

Shaky Sobbing

Nadine Halliday ran across the street and into the sheltered comfort of the woods. It was 4 o’clock in the afternoon the next day, and the gray clouds started to rain quite heavily.

Strangely, the clouds held up for a day, but Nadine didn’t even take notice.

She pat her brown leather satchel with her right hand, making sure her diary was still inside, and trekked more into the woods.

She broke one of the branches from the trees trunk and held it out in front of her warningly.

You never know when a big wolf can come out and lash out at you.

She’d learned that from her previously encounters.

She continued to walk through the woods, and stopped at a clearing. She looked around and at the floor, her hair getting soaking wet.

She gasped, and her hands covered her mouth, as she saw what was on the dirt.

It was a shredded body, the blood soaking into the soil along with the water from the rain.

Tears poured down her face unnoticed due to the rain, and she collapsed to her knees.

This was horrible.

She choked out a sob, and scrambled into her satchel for her cell phone.

When her fingers wrapped around it she pulled it out, dialing 911 into the dial pad.

When she pulled it up to her ear, it was pulled away from her ear and an arm wrapped around her waist from behind.

“relax.” The deep raspy voice whispered into her ear, as her eyes turned the size of saucers.

“p-please don’t hurt me.” She stuttered, squeezing her eyes shut as more tears fell from them.

“Come with me.” The voice said, pulling her up and guiding her through the trees.

Justin Bieber lay on the couch, his feet propped up on the arm-rest and his eyes shut.

He was thinking about Nadine and how beautiful she was.

He was thinking about the potion, the black magic love spell.

Should he give it to her?

He hadn’t bought it yet, but he was considering it.

His eyes snapped open as the front door was opened and a figure walked through. Justin turned around and his eyes turned wide.

“Justin, she was looking at that Amanda.” His dad roared, as he looked at Nadine with furrowed eyebrows.

She was crying, sobbing uncontrollably, her hands over her mouth.

“Oh my God, Nadine!” Justin yelled in surprise, jumping over the couch to approach them. He took Nadine from his dad’s grip and hugged her soaking wet body to his chest.

“She saw the…. The r-remains?” Justin stuttered, rubbing his hand up and down her back repeatedly, trying to do anything to calm her down.

“Yeah, she did.” Jeremy said, taking off his soaking wool gloves and beanie.

Justin’s eyes showed sadness, and he whimpered sadly.

It came out like a low growl, just like a werewolf’s.

Nadine continued to cry in his chest, her arms wrapped around his waist, and Justin listened in worry.

Whatever his mate was feeling, that's what Justin was feeling, but ten times worse.

He looked over at his dad, who was staring at them in utter shock, shaking his head slightly.

“Take her to your room Justin.” Jeremy stuttered, running a hand over his short-cut hair and sighing.

“I’ll go clean up your mess.” He then muttered, before walking out the door again to be wet by the rain once more.

Nadine Halliday sobbed into the stranger’s comforting chest, as he kissed her head now and then.

She was unaware of who was holding her, but he seemed familiar.

“Nadine, sweetie look at me.” His voice gushed into her ear.

She coughed, then began hiccuping, her crying soon coming to a stop.

She removed her tear-stained face from the boy’s chest, breathing heavily. She looked up so painfully slowly, to see caramel colored eyes.

“J-Justin?” she asked, gripping his shoulders with her fingernails.

“Nadine, hey, it’s ok.” Justin said, as Nadine looked around the room.

“Where am I?” she asked, in a quiet whisper.

“In my bedroom. My dad saw you, uh, out in the woods, crying. So he bought you to me.”

“H-how….” She didn’t know what to reply, but she was thankful it was Justin and not some stranger.

“Would you like to have a shower? I mean you’re soaking wet, you might feel more comfortable then.” Justin asked, scratching the back of his neck, as Nadine climbed off his lap.

“I, I uh….” She was going to ask to go home, when she looked over at Justin, who had a pout on his pink lips.

She had this sudden urge to kiss them, but she controlled herself.

“I am, I am cold…” she stuttered, looking around nervously and wiping her mouth with the back of her hand.

“I think you should take a shower Nadine. You look freezing. I wouldn’t want you to catch a cold.”

Nadine nodded, and Justin took her hand in his, leading her towards a small bathroom.

“There’s a lock on the door, and the towels are in the cupboard underneath the sink. Take as long as you want.” Justin replied, before opening the door.

“Wait!” Nadine said, grabbing Justin’s wrist, her damp hair cooling her neck.

Sparks.

Justin looked up at her, and Nadine noticed lust in his eyes.

“I, um, wanted to thank you. For everything.” Nadine said awkwardly, twisting her left foot on the tiles.

“Anything for you.” He whispered, before closing and locking the door, leaving Nadine in her wet clothes in Justin’s bathroom.
