Scurrilous Stories

"I-It can't be..." she stuttered, stepping back and dropping the black shotgun that was in her hand.
"I-I didn't know it was her love. Please..." he coughed out, crying.
"You killed her!" she screamed, breaking down and collapsing on her knees.
"Baby please. I love you." he said, as she looked up.
There was a brief silence, before a cough was heard.
"I love you too." she cried out, burying her head in her hands.

Painful Problems

As Nadine Halliday and Rachael rushed into the hospital, following close behind Thomas’s stretcher they saw Mr. and Mrs. Anderson, sitting in the waiting room chairs crying.

When they saw Thomas’s stretcher more tears trickled down their cheeks and they unexpectedly pulled Rachael and Nadine in for a hug.

“My poor boy!” Mrs. Anderson wailed, tightly wrapping her arms around Nadine.

“It’s OK Mrs. Anderson, I’m sure Tom will get through this.” Nadine reassured, although she wasn’t all that sure he would make it.

Nadine had this feeling in the pit of her stomach that this was all her fault. She couldn’t quite put her finger on why, but she just felt as if it was.

And as for that overgrown dog, that was most certainly wolf-like, she swore she saw it before.

Could it be that wolf in the woods?

Nadine shook her head as a few more tears trickled down her cheeks. Her best friend was being strangled by Mr. Anderson, and she couldn’t help but laugh at Rachael’s helpless facial expression.

“Robert that’s enough.” Mrs. Anderson told Mr. Anderson, forcefully pulling him away from Rachael.

‘Thank you.’ Rachael mouthed to Mrs. Anderson, sitting back in a chair breathing heavily.

Nadine chuckled before sitting next to Rachael, who was now plaiting the ends of her red hair.

“I hope Tom’s alright.” Nadine whispered to Rachael.

“Yeah, me too.” Rachael sighed.

Justin Bieber walked towards his house that was a cabin in the woods. He lived there with only his father, and they were the only two who knew it existed. Justin’s father, Jeremy, stormed out of the house, an angered look on his face.

“Justin, what the heck were you thinking?!” he yelled, as Justin watched the birds fly away from the tree branches they were perched on, startled by the loud noise.

“He put his arm around MY mate.” Justin said defensively.

“That doesn’t mean you go rip at his face!” Jeremy said, rubbing his face with his hands.

“My anger got the better of me OK?! I couldn’t help myself! One second I was watching Nadine and the next I was lashing at that guy’s face!”

Jeremy took a few deep breaths.

“We have to control that anger of yours.” Jeremy said, before twisting Justin’s ear and dragging his inside.

“Ah people that are here for Thomas Anderson?” the doctor asked, as Nadine Halliday, Rachael and Mr. and Mrs. Anderson stood up.

“OK, come with me.”

They followed the doctor into Room 12, which was just around the corner from where they were before.

Nadine first saw Thomas, lying down on his hospital bed unconscious. Nadine rushed over to him, gasping at the sight.

She left the others to find out what was wrong with Thomas as she checked out his wounds.

Across his left eye, was one long three lined scratch. It was still bleeding, and you could see the stitches protruding from his skin.

His shoulder had a bandage around it, as if to keep it in place. As she looked lower down his body, he had several deep scratches on his chest which was exposed.

His legs were not seriously harmed and had a few scratches here and there.

Nadine also noticed the purple bruise forming around Thomas’s right eye and the cut across his neck.

He looked horrible, as if he had just come out of a war zone. More tears prickled Nadine’s eyes as she looked down at her friend in an unstable manner. She took his hand and rubbed her thumb across the unharmed skin.

“As you can see, he’s currently unconscious as we put him under sleeping gas. As soon as he wakes up we'll have to pump him some anesthetic through the IV.” The doctor explained, who she soon found out was called Dr. Bartholomew.

“When will he wake up?” Nadine heard Rachael ask, as she slipped a look at her friend.

“Should be in a couple of hours.” Dr. Bartholomew stated, before disappearing out the door to tend to another patient.

“My poor baby.” Mrs. Anderson said, sitting on another chair that was close to Thomas’s bed.

“We better be going.” Rachael said, waving goodbye to Thomas’s parents and asking them to call her when he wakes up.

Rachael pulled Nadine out of the hospital room and into her Fiat 500.

“What time is it?” Nadine asked, forgetting she had her phone in her pocket.

“Ah it’s 4:30PM.” Rachael said, as Nadine did her seat-belt in the front seat.

“My shift starts at 7, wanna come over?” Nadine asked Rachael, who nodded.

Justin Bieber lay on his bed, throwing a basketball in the air and catching it swiftly. He was thinking about the guy he attacked, what condition he’s in and of course Nadine.

The more he thinks about it, the more he feels bad.

Justin hasn’t had a good past with controlling his anger. That’s why everyone seemed to ignore him a school, despite his good looks.

That’s why Nate was his only friend, well was his only friend.

Justin knew he had to make it up to Nate somehow, but just couldn’t think of anything.
