Scurrilous Stories

"I-It can't be..." she stuttered, stepping back and dropping the black shotgun that was in her hand.
"I-I didn't know it was her love. Please..." he coughed out, crying.
"You killed her!" she screamed, breaking down and collapsing on her knees.
"Baby please. I love you." he said, as she looked up.
There was a brief silence, before a cough was heard.
"I love you too." she cried out, burying her head in her hands.

Efficacious Emptiness

Justin Bieber sighed as he heard a loud knock on his room door.

“It’s fun being grounded, hey kid?” Jeremy asked, walking in and sitting on the bed next to him.

“Look, do I really have to miss school?” Justin asked, looking up at his dad.

“Well yeah Justin, you’ve been in that kind of trouble before and the first place they’ll look is your school.” Jeremy said, shaking his head.

“Why would you want to go to school anyway?” Jeremy added, raising an eyebrow in disbelief.

He knew how ‘well’ Justin went along with the students and teachers at that school and plus, no high-school or any school student wants to go to school.

“Nadine, that’s where I can see Nadine without seeming like I’m stalking her.” Justin breathed out, before bowing his head.

“You feel empty huh?” Jeremy asked, patting Justin on the back.

“Yeah, yeah I do.” Justin replied.

“Look son, I know what it feels like to be without a mate for so long. When your mother died I mourned, for a long time. But eventually you grew up and I had you as a constant reminder of her.”

Justin sighed, before lying back on his bed.

“You can go out of the house tonight, when the sun goes down ok?” Jeremy offered Justin, as Justin nodded.

“alright.” He whispered, before Jeremy got up and headed out of his room, closing the door behind him.

Nadine Halliday walked towards her Aunty and Uncle’s house from across the street and unlocked the door with the key they gave her.

Aunty Sienna worked as a veterinarian, so she was barely home. Uncle Bruce was an architect, so he too was barely home.

That left Nadine in the same state she was when she lived with her dad, alone.

Thinking of her dad wanted to make her cry. He left early this morning to go to Toronto then left on the first flight to New York.

Her dad promised the call every night to see how she was, and get an update on everything.

She gripped her phone in her hand from her pocket and brought it up to her face. She got a message from an unknown number.

(1) - 345 – 891:

Hey beautiful, its levi ;)

Nadine smiled slightly and saved his phone number to her contacts.

Hey :) so wat do I wear tonight?

Levi ;):

Levi ;):

7. dont be late.

Sorry, have to go now princess

Bye levi x

Nadine sighed and walked upstairs towards her bedroom. She walked inside to see the bed frame up, and her bed made.

There was a note taped to the bed with sticky-tape. Nadine tore the note from the bed and read it with a smile on her face.

Hope you like your bed frame

Uncle Bruce put it together after you left for school.

Enjoy sweetie xx

Nadine smiled widely before lying back on her bed and closing her eyes. It was nice to finally lie on a bed, even if she only spent one day without it.

Nadine woke up startled, bringing her wrist up to where her face was, to read the time on her watch.

It was 6 o’clock.

That left her only one hour to get ready for the date with Levi.

Nadine scrambled out of bed and ran into her closet. She looked through her many dresses and finally settled on one.

She took the short turquoise dress, with lace at the shoulders and placed it on her bed.

She took an elastic and tied up her hair into a high-bun, before walking towards the bathroom that was across the hall.

She closed and locked the door behind her and turned on the shower faucet. When it was at a warm temperature she stepped in and relaxed under the water.

For Nadine, being in the shower wasn’t just the time to wash her body; it was the time to really think things through.

Sometimes, she would sit on the tiles and just think about everything that’s going on in her life at that moment.

At that moment, after she washed her petite body she thought about everything, and Justin was the first thing that came to her mind.

His caramel eyes.

How he claimed he loved her and needed her.

His dirty-blond hair, flicked to perfection.

His bi-polar behavior.

The suburban crime he would commit.

It seemed as though he was the most perfect bad-ass hottie she could imagine. But he had so many secrets, she could see it in the dark glint his eyes always seemed to have.

She thought about their kisses, the one at school and the one late at night in the woods. What was he doing there so late?

Then, strangely, thinking of Justin bought her to that wolf.

How its fur was that unusual color.

And how she calmly interacted with it.

And then her mother’s death.

And how werewolves are, in fact, not mythical, but real.

The last thing she thought of was her quest to find the wolf that killed her mother before her fingers started to really prune.

She turned the water off a stepped out of the shower, wrapping her self in her white towel.

She dried her damp feet on the bathroom floor mat, before stepping out of the bathroom and walking into her bedroom.

She dried herself off and slid on the appropriate underwear, before slipping into the dress.

The dress was a contrast against her skin, but it was a beautiful color on her.

She did light make-up, before slipping on a pair of white flats with small black bows at the top.

She brushed her hair and placed it into a high-pony tail before looking in the mirror.

Her outfit was plain and simple, but a little was just enough.

She smiled at her outfit before taking her mobile phone and holding it tightly in her hand. Her phone vibrated and she checked her newest text.

Levi ;):

Actually, don’t come here.

I’ll pick you up.

What’s ur address?

See ya in 5 x

Nadine smiled at the text before replying and walking down the stairs towards the front door. She waited on the swing-chair on the porch until she caught sight of car head-lights coming down the street.

Nadine stood up and watched as the car stopped outside the house on the curb.

She smiled as she saw Levi walk out of the car, looking sharp in a pair of dark-wash jeans, a gray-button up shirt and a leather jacket.

He walked up the stairs of the porch towards Nadine and held both her hands.

“You, you look stunning Nadine.” Levi breathed out, kissing her cheek.

“Why thank you. And you look so undeniably handsome.” She said, playing with the zip of his jacket.

“Ahaha thank you babe. Let’s go.” He said, taking one of Nadine’s hands and guiding her down the steps to his car.

Nadine was surprisingly happy she decided to come on this date. He wasn’t as cocky and vain as she thought he would be on a date.
