Scurrilous Stories

"I-It can't be..." she stuttered, stepping back and dropping the black shotgun that was in her hand.
"I-I didn't know it was her love. Please..." he coughed out, crying.
"You killed her!" she screamed, breaking down and collapsing on her knees.
"Baby please. I love you." he said, as she looked up.
There was a brief silence, before a cough was heard.
"I love you too." she cried out, burying her head in her hands.

Close Confession

Nadine Halliday woke up for the second day in a row, with arms wrapped tightly around her waist.

She groaned and turned around to see Justin’s face pressed against her shoulder. His hair was all in his face and sticking up here and there.

He breathed softly on her shoulder, his lips planted on her skin.

She smiled slightly, and looked down at his body, seeing him in just his boxer briefs. She smirked as she saw his hard-on poking into her back and quickly grabbed his wrists, pulling his arms way from around her waist.

She sat up and sighed slightly, running a hand through her long dark hair.

“Nadine! Wake up!” she heard Sienna call from outside of her door and she panicked. She threw the blanket over Justin, and placed pillow on the side of his that was facing the doors.

Sure enough, the door creaked open and Sienna walked in, startled to see a smiling Nadine sitting straight up on her bed.

“Uhmm ok, breakfast is ready. And you can bring the boy.” Sienna said, as Justin sat up rubbing his eyes.

Nadine cursed under her breath as the pissed tone in Sienna’s voice rung through her ears.

“Oh sh*t.” she heard Justin mumble, getting up as he stretched his arms up.

“Yeah, oh sh*t.” Nadine said sarcastically, surprised at herself for swearing out loud.

“Come on Nadine. I’ve been caught for worse my love.” Justin said, buttoning up her jeans, and slipping his black hoodie over his head.

“I love you.” Justin mumbled, kissing her cheek before opening the window, sending her a wink and jumping out.

Nadine gasped and walked over to the window, holding onto the sill as she leaned over to looked down at the front lawn.

She searched the flowerbeds right underneath her window, and the green grass on the lawn, and sought the front of the school but didn’t see a Justin.

She blinked twice and he still wasn’t in sight, so she turned around and walked towards her bedroom door and down the stairs.

“Aren’t you going to work at the clinic?” Nadine asked, taking a bite on the buttered toast her aunty had made for her.

“Later today, I’m doing a major operation on a small dog.” Sienna said, pressing her lips together.

“Oh alright, good luck.” Nadine replied, trying to blow off the fact that Sienna saw Justin in her room.

“Uhm we have things to talk about missy.” Sienna said, waving her index finger at Nadine.

“Aww come on.” Nadine said, slumping her shoulders.

“Well I have to ask about the boy that was sleeping with you last night in his boxers. Where is he?” Sienna asked, looking around Nadine to the staircase.

“He went home, it’s like he disappeared.” Nadine shrugged, finishing off her piece of toast.

“Did you use protection?” Sienna asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

“Wait what! No, we didn’t…. do it.” Nadine said, a look of disgust coming over her face.

“Alright, you can go.” Sienna said, waving her hand at Nadine as she ventured upstairs.

From being a wet and rainy April day yesterday and the day before, it was quite warm today, about 80 degrees outside.

She pulled out a loose Aztec-print t shirt and a pair of acid-wash light denim shorts. She slipped them on along with a pair of her black high-top converse.

She brushed her hair and put it up in a messy bun, applying minimal make up. She looked at herself in the mirror and nodded at her self, and looked at her long tanned legs, that were rarely on display.

She grabbed her leather jacket and slipped it on, grabbing her cellphone and running downstairs.

“Have a good day sweetie!” she heard Sienna call from the kitchen, before walking outside.

“And then he kissed me, and he told me he liked me and wanted to take me out!” Rachael squealed, talking about Harley once again.

“That’s great rach.” Nadine gushed, faking a wide smile.

They were sitting at their lunch table, eating that Friday’s special. Nadine sighed and placed her pizza on the paper plate, before leaning her head on her hand.

“What’s wrong?” Rachael asked, shifting in her seat.

“I think I should tell you.” Nadine started, feeling bad for hiding things from her best friend.

“What is it?” Rachael asked, before her eyes shifted from Nadine’s eyes to behind her shoulder.

Nadine felt a warm hand rub her shoulder blade and she turned around to face Justin.

She hadn’t seen him all day, since he disappeared from her window view, and she was kinda glad to see him.

“can I sit here?” Justin asked her, holding a brown paper bag in his left hand.

“Yeah, sure.” Nadine said, as he sat next to her and pulled out a sandwich that was in a plastic snap-lock bag.

The brown wholegrain bread was soggy, dripping with some red sauce, and the bottom of the bag had some leftover sauce from the sandwich.

A red looking meat was poking out of the soggy bread and Nadine furrowed her eyebrows.

“How come you’re not having the Friday special?” she asked him.

“Oh, I don’t like pizza.” Justin shrugged, taking the sandwich out and taking a bite, moaning slightly at the taste.

“What’s the filling?” Nadine asked, trying to start a conversation that wasn’t awkward.

“Oh uhm, salami.” Justin shrugged, finishing the sandwich and the leftover juice that was at the bottom of the bag.

Rachael looked at him in disgust, as he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.

“What the heck is wrong with you? Use a napkin boy.” She hushed, sliding a napkin from across the table.

He picked it up and wiped the remains with the napkin, before standing up and walking away from the table.
