2. Money and Banks

  Paris's P.O.V.

After all that tear fest, my mother promised to tell me everything from now on. I felt happier that my mother won't keep any more secrets from me but kinda scared about the secrets. What if one of them includes who my real mom was. I don't want to go back to her. She doesn't get to get me back. She looked over to my letter. I forgot all about that. She opened it and scanned through it quickly. "You're going to school!" she squealed. It seems like she had forgotten she was crying about a minute ago. "Really?" What school? Will it be a regular school or a special one for wizards only? "Don't worry there they will teach you magic. Its okay if you don't know anything about wizards" my mom told me. Wizard school it is. "What do I need?" I asked. "Just a cauldron, a wand, a pet, books, clothes, ect." she said. Where are we going to find these things??? Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. I went to open it. It was a huge, hairy man. "Excuse me, miss. Is your mother here?'' he asked I nodded and let him in. He was so big, he had to bend over just to fit through the doorway! I looked at my mom and noticed she was afraid too. "I noticed that you're daughter is a wizard." How'd he know?!? ''N-No" my mother stuttered. I would to if I was talking to the man. "I'm Hagrid ma'am. I work at Hogwarts. I couldn't help but overhear your list of school supplies. I could help you find them" he insisted. "Alright" my mother agreed. So this dude wasn't bad. He just wanted to help. I was judging him. "Come on then" he said as he lead us out the door. I pulled on my coat and shoes and lead my mom outside. There was another boy, my age, outside too. I was shy so I didn't even look his way. I don't think he even cared. Hagrid led us to an alley, full of people. "Whoa" I heard my  mother mutter as we looked around. It was colorful, full with things, and amazing. "This is Diagon Alley. A place for wizards to find anything they need for school. No Muggles know this place even exsists." he said Wow! "What are Muggles?" the boy asked before I could open my mouth. "Muggles are non-wizards" Hagrid answered. So my mom is a Muggle? Maybe you can say a Muggle knows about this place now. "Lets get the supplies" Hagrid said. "We have no money!" I exclaimed. I expected them to look at me and kick me out, saying I don't belong here. "No problem. We can go to the Gringotts Wizarding Bank for money" Hagrid answered. "We don't have an account there. We never even knew this exsisted!" I told him. "Well you must have some money on you" he told me. I looked over at my mom. She nodded and showed me her purse. Okay then. We went into a big, beautifully sculptured bank full of....monsters? "What are these?" the boy asked. "Goblins" Hagrid whispered. It was silent except for the goblins typing and occationally leaving. We walked to a goblin. "We'd like to make a deposit for Mr.Harry Potter" Hagrid said. "Key?" a goblin croaked. Hagrid took out a key and handed it to him. "You?" the goblin pointed to my mother. "She needs money" Hagrid answered. My mother took out some dollar bills. Wow! That was about $100! She handed it to the goblin. "Muggle money" he said. Instead of setting of an alarm and yelling for guards to take my mother away, he just simply gave her about 2-3 handfuls of coins. She put them in her purse and took the boy and Hagrid away. "Stay close" Hagrid instructed us as he left.
