The Unwanted And The Lost

Willow is abused, and unwanted. Bullied, broken, lost, and more. So one day, she gets sold to a man with her dog Midnight, who's black as the night. But something isn't right, its just worse for her. Way worse. She has to escape this madness. She tries many times to escape to the woods, but will she make it and see a familiar face?
Or fail again?

7. Leaving

Willow's POV:

I packed all of my stuff. I can't leave Midnight here with my dad, he'll suffer. Colton came over to help pack and get ready to leave. I can't believe it's my last day here. Colton didn't say a word, just held his head.

"Colton..." I said softly.

"I can't believe you're leaving..."

I hung my head, and he did the same. I got up from my bed and hugged him as tight as I could. He sighed gently. I started to cry; so much crying had been done this week. I heard a car horn. That's my ride. I clung to Colton and he clung to me. We let go and I grabbed Midnight's stuff, as Colton grabbed my bags. We went downstairs and saw a woman and man standing there. I looked at them and walked strait past, going to the car and packing my stuff in there. I put Midnight in the back seat. I looked at Colton, and he handed me a card, and a big box. I stared at it.

"Read it when you leave," he said.

"Colton... I'm so sorry... Will you visit?"

"I promise..." he said, tearing up.

I hugged him tightly and looked up at him, watching him lean down. Suddenly, his lips pressed against mine and we stayed like that for awhile until we parted.

"I'll miss you so much..." he said, moving a strand of hair off of my face.

With that I said goodbye to my house, and my dad, and kissed Colton one more time before sitting in the car and waving. I stared at Colton waving and held Midnight close to me, tearing up.

"Well, sweetie... Here we go..." she said softly.

6 hours later

We arrived at the house. It was huge! I grabbed my stuff and walked inside, staring at the glass ceiling. I stared at the stars through it. I sighed.

"Jay!" the man yelled.

A teenage boy about my age came down.

"This is Willow. Willow, this is Jay. Jay, will you show Willow to her room?"

He nodded and took my bag, going up the long staircase. I followed, holding Midnight close to me. There was a huge hallway, filled with pictures. I walked until I came to my room. It was 5 times the size of my other room in my old house. There was a queen sized bed and a flat screen television hung on the wall. There was a huge walk-in closet and dressers.

"Like it?" Jay said.

I nodded gently and looked at the ceiling, realizing that there was a window on it too. There was also a balcony, with a telescope outside.
