Water, water, everywhere...

Entry for the national poetry day competition.

1. Water

Cool and soothing,
But it's also in your tears.

Nice and refreshing,
Too bad it's just a luxury.

It drips and splashes,
It can pull you under,
And steal your last breath.

Not always clear,
Sometimes tinted,
Red with blood.

Those tiny mouths,
They need you most,
But most are abandoned,
To die a waterless death.

Water, water, everywhere,
Why do you cause,
So much despair?
