1. Water

  A silent rippling presence,

A part of life for most people

  A glass in the morning,

  A glass with your meal.

  "Water's harmless,

You can't have too much water,

   It's good for you."

   But they're wrong

   Rushing over buildings

Carelessly tossing aside trees and cars.

People helpless, enveloped by the flow.

   Families scrambling to safety,

High points, soon struck down to low points

   By its ruthless rampage.

Water can mercilessly tear everything apart,

But most people don't see it like that.

Most people just have it in a glass.
