1. Water.

I am the bruised and battered soul
That holds the key to life,
I am the gentle hearted love
Who keeps all creatures rife.

Rushing to assist your mind
I hold you in your pain,
I help you on your weary feet
And make you stand again.

My body's as blue as your eyes,
My skin is freezing cold,
My mood is calm, gently mellow,
My age is merely old.

You all know my slow, hallowed name
That lingers on your lips,
It trickles down your face like rain,
And drips off your fingertips.
