2. Rainy Night

The sky is dark,

The street is light.

The ground is wet,

From this rainy night.

I duck under trees,

Nature's umbrella from rain.

It keep's me dry,

before I head off again.

The air smells fresh,

As if it's been washed.

By the sweet loving nature,

That acts as boss.

Wet and round,

Is a single drop.

As it splashes in puddles,

There's a soft plip plop.

The heavy rain slows,

To a stop.

I let out a breath,

As I hear a last plip plop.
