Movella Reviews

Hello everybody! This is a completely unoriginal idea but here I am, starting a movella review report. I can't review anything marked as red (not old enough) but I can read over anything marked green or yellow. I would prefer not to have fan-fics about 1D or Justin Bieber, but if it absolutely desperate, I would be more than happy to review it. Just leave the name of your book in the comments below and I will review them ASAP. :)

9. Mind Trap- Mirlotta

These days, I seem to constantly find myself reading original, interesting and extremely enjoyable movellas, and once again, I have stumbled luckily across another one. 'Mindtrap' by Mirlotta is original and fresh and I, for one, am not particularly fond of sic-fi but I am all over this particular story! The characters are new and unpredictable and I love how Mirlotta gave them all such different personalities, it really keeps the story engaging.

Mirlotta's description is also very nice as the very first sentence I read was "The white, alabaster hand drummed its perfectly shaped nails on the glass table, tapping a rhythm which its owner's heart danced along to." Already I am getting a very clear picture of this character and its motives, however, Mirlotta only gives us the slightest sliver of information on this person which really makes me want to read more.

Secondly, I loved reading a good story! I have read so many books lately that are all so similar. I mean they were good, but the plot had been repeated over and over. Mirlotta seems to be like a Roald Dahl because like him, Mirlotta always has something fresh and interesting, not one of the many cliches we read today.

Finally, I like how I can relate to the character Pim's actions. In chapter 5, we see her going over to her new found friend's house to play this game Mindtrap. Suddenly, she gets a bad feeling about it, a gut feeling that's screaming at her to leave, but, despite everything, she stays and personally I can't even count the amount of times I have been in this situation. For a reader, I like being able to relate to the characters and Mirlotta has written up Prim's personality flawlessly.

I hope to read much more of 'Mindtrap' soon!
