Movella Reviews

Hello everybody! This is a completely unoriginal idea but here I am, starting a movella review report. I can't review anything marked as red (not old enough) but I can read over anything marked green or yellow. I would prefer not to have fan-fics about 1D or Justin Bieber, but if it absolutely desperate, I would be more than happy to review it. Just leave the name of your book in the comments below and I will review them ASAP. :)

13. Melody: A One Direction FanFiction part 2- By Prez

This is a very delayed and deserved review. I was so excited when Prez told me that she had inserted the final installment in Melody: A One Direction FanFiction. It was great news and now that I have finally been able to read it I was very excited to give it a review.

Once again, Prez does a fantastic job in describing. Prez's similes and metaphors are beautifully written and they give a very clear picture of what is being described in the readers mind. Personally, one of my favorite was this:

"London was dark. It signified no hope."

"America was bright, like paper in the sunlight."

Please understand that I have nothing against London! One of my best friends is actually from there but anyways, I loved how Prez said "like paper in the sunlight." I mean, it really paints a perfect picture in my head of bleach white paper in the light. It was a very creative way to describe hope, I thought.

Secondly, one of my favorite parts on the book was when Robin got a copy of N.E.R.D.S from a person on the plane. I thought this was a very appropriate book to give him and I thought it was really sweet! I mean, I had the cutest image in my head of a little boy clutching a tattered old book in his hands like it meant the world to him-which it probably did in that point of the story. This description gave me a great sense of his character. Moreover, I loved the part when they are passing an anorexic girl int he airport and Robin says "She'll be beautiful no matter what." Honestly, I wanted to cry at that point, it is so sweet when you see a glimmer of true goodness in someone and this is why I love the character Robin so much. That sentence really shows how painfully honest he is. He didn't sugar coat anything and he just pointed out a simple fact. Prez did an incredible job shaping this character's personality.

Furthermore, I loved the little slivers of humor Prez stuck in the story, so it wasn't all gloomy. For example, the part when Melody slips an ice cube down a woman's shirt- I thought it a) was very funny and b) really shows that Melody would do anything to make her siblings happy and I love that!

The ending, though, is probably my favorite part. DO NOT READ THIS SECTION IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS!

Melody was in a coma and her family were talking about the criminals when they finally said how the police caught them. Suddenly, Melody wakes up when she hears the 'bad guys' have been taken away. This is a great scene, I think. Very creative and happy all at the same time. Also I love how the captor ends with her sitting up shouting "YES!" this is great structure for the story.

Overall, this story was fantastic and I can't wait until Prez writes more!
