Movella Reviews

Hello everybody! This is a completely unoriginal idea but here I am, starting a movella review report. I can't review anything marked as red (not old enough) but I can read over anything marked green or yellow. I would prefer not to have fan-fics about 1D or Justin Bieber, but if it absolutely desperate, I would be more than happy to review it. Just leave the name of your book in the comments below and I will review them ASAP. :)

14. From My Heart, To Yours- Aparupa Chakravarty

This is single handedly the best prologue I've ever read. I know- it seems a little rash, me saying that, but seriously, this is a stunning piece of writing and I wish it had more views because it really deserves it.

Aparupa writes with such description and beauty that it feels as if you are standing in the room with the characters. But it is not too much description, she just feeds you enough information to let you see the scene and setting. The thing that automatically grabbed my attention and made me want to read more was the fact that she opened with a question. It is quite unusual which is why I liked it so much. It was a simple and outright question "Funny, isn't it?" The reader is immediately intrigued, wanting to find out what in the world is so interesting. This question also gives the main character a great personality and we don't even know their name yet.

My favorite line in her writing was this: " if your heart smells of rain and your soul shines bright." I'm sorry, but this line just made me smile. I personally love the smell of rain and this is a great way to describe. It is interesting and creative -not something like "my heart felt like pure happiness."  Honestly, I don't even know how to put how much I love this sentence into words, well actually, my heart smelled like rain when I read it.

When Aparupa ended the part where the character was talking about her thoughts and introducing us, she jumped into the scene where an old lady was sitting in a "a room with a calm-y shade of blue and around my bed were a few opened curtains." This setting for a room feels like a painting for me. I mean, all the colors and light patterns fit together perfectly. I adore how the main character is old as well. There is something about older people that I just find beautiful, whether it is their calm demeanor or slight smiles like they know something you don't, I just find it interesting and different that this particular character will be reflecting on her life instead of being 'in it.'

I just love this whole piece (don't know how many times I've said 'love') and I am so excited for more!
