Movella Reviews

Hello everybody! This is a completely unoriginal idea but here I am, starting a movella review report. I can't review anything marked as red (not old enough) but I can read over anything marked green or yellow. I would prefer not to have fan-fics about 1D or Justin Bieber, but if it absolutely desperate, I would be more than happy to review it. Just leave the name of your book in the comments below and I will review them ASAP. :)

7. Anonymous Crime, Anonymous Detective- JammyBandStudios

Firstly, I'd like to start off by saying that the very name of the chapters are gripping. I found myself painstakingly curious about this short story even before I had started reading it! The first chapter goes by the name of Crimson Liquid. Tell me that that is not an intriguing title for a chapter! But enough about the name of the chapter, the chapter itself for out does its name! The first sentence is this "Inconspicuously, the Shadow crept along the creaky, wooden walkway." That simple sentence automatically pulled me into the story but it also sent shivers up and down my arm. I love how the murderer is 'the Shadow' as well, it really paints a sinister and evil picture of this character in the readers head, I love it!

Secondly, another thing that JammyBandStudios is very skilled at doing is creating 'sound' in the story. "A scream, ear piercing and traumatizing clearly heard even over the ferocious storm." This line just created the perfect bone-chilling sound in my head and I found myself (despite being slightly scared about what was going to happen) wanting to read on! Also, I loved how before this line, the single word "silence" was sitting on its own. It created a very dramatic and tense effect of 'calm before the storm.'  Furthermore, I love how the tone of the detective comes across, and also the other characters in the story.

This is a phenomenal piece of writing by JammyBandStudios that could definitely win any competition it was entered into. JammyBandStudios is a fantastic author and I just hope that you keep writing because I certainly want to read more of your work in the future!

Excellent job,  JammyBandStudios!
