The doctor entered and cleared his throat. He called for John and told him what had happened. Everyone was staying calm and saw the look on John's face. The doctor left leaving John to face reality. He turned around and those words haunted the living out of them. "She didn't make it". Everyone froze in place. Liam shouted causing everyone in the room to wince the sight of him. Liam stormed to Makaela's room while the staff tried to calm him down but nothing was going to make him stop. He was going to see Makaela, whatever it takes. The others tried to pull Liam back but he shoves them away, causing the door to burst open to reveal Makaela's bed empty.

The room was empty.

"Where is she?" Liam growled. No one answered; they feared him. "Where. Is. She?" Liam emphasized and his growl grew deeper. One nurse spoke but her voice was shaky. "S-She was released a-and she l-left quickly". Everyone stopped moving as if the world just ended. Liam knew where Makaela was at that very moment, he left the hospital without a word. He ran back home and got into his car and drove up north, knowing and feeling deep inside Makaela was going to be there. He stopped in front of an old house.

No one else but him was there. That's when he begins to have a flashback.

Liam: Age 5

Makaela: Age 4

A shy young boy sees a young girl sitting by herself painting a flower on paper. She happily swirls the colors together to make a unique flower. She then dips the paint brush into the cup of water and washes the brush quickly, making the little droplets of dirty water splatter all over her flower painting, on her face and clothes. She lets go of the brush which sits in the cup of water and she sits down. She silently cries; tears spilling down her face. She covers her face with her hands to make it seem less obvious and that no one would notice her. The shy boy quickly runs to the other side of the room and opens up his play bag. He finds his pocket tissues and closes his bag up and makes his way to the young girl. He gently taps her on the shoulder. The girl sniffs and turns around to see a young boy looking at her. Glasses on his eyes and thought he looked like a nerd. She sees him holding a pack of tissues. She looks at them like she didn’t know what to do.

The boy hands her the tissues and gives her a warm, gentle smile. Her shaky hand trembles as she reaches for the tissues. The boy’s other hand holds hers gently; his warmth giving her a tingle in her hand. He sees the tear stains on her and sees new fresh tears drop quickly. He gently drops her hand and takes out a tissue. “Can I wipe them off for you?” he asked warmly. The girl didn’t know how to respond. She just simply nodded her head sniffing as the tears kept spilling down from her cheeks. He walks to a desk nearby and picks up the wooden chair and sets it down next to the girl. He sits down facing her and begins to wipe her tears away from her face with the tissue. The girl stops sniffing. She could tell the boy was shy as he looked but was confident as he spoke. She looked into his eyes and all she could see was warmth, kindness and most of all … Love. (A/N: Mentally “awed” this!)

“What’s your name?” the boy asked. “M-Makaela” the girl stuttered. After he finished wiping her tears away and he could clearly see her beautiful face. “Pretty name for a pretty girl like you” he said. This made Makaela blush like crazy and she ducked her head down a bit to hide the flush that rose to her cheeks. The boy chuckles lightly and carefully lifts Makaela’s chin up she he could see her blush. He thought she looked cute and adorable when she blushed. “I’m Liam” he said with a smile. She gave him a warm smile, a genuine smile. Then, Liam did something that shocked and surprised her, he gave her a warm hug; wrapping his arms around her gently and letting her bury her head near the crook of his neck. Liam liked the feeling and the touch. He didn’t let go of her unless she wanted him to – which she didn’t. They stayed like that for a while. The broke apart and smiled to each other, realizing they were the only two in the room. A teacher walks in and two families walk in to pick up their children. Liam and Makaela ran towards their family and hugged them tight, sharing their fun time with each other. The parents were then introduced to each other and agreed to let both their children go to the same school. Liam and Makaela both smiled wide and hugged each other tightly.

Liam: Amee isn't here right now because I'm here to do the author's note. Anyway, I wished it was her and I in this story but in case you're wondering, there will be another Liam fanfiction with *spoiler alert!* Amee is in it.

Liam: *Eyes widen and quickly ends the author's note* Gotta go. *Runs off*

EDITED AND UPDATED: Sorry if this chapter sucked badly. Unfortunately, this is the last chapter! OMG! Took me long enough to figure out if I wanted to continue or scrap the story out. Don't worry, the sequel Three Years Later, Makaela's whereabouts will remain a mystery till a POV of her is created.

A massive cliffhanger here but; don't worry, Remember Me goes straight to Three Years Later (TYL); meaning the last chapter continues in the sequel in Chapter 2. TYL will be more detailed than Remember Me and I will re-edit all of the chapters. Remember Me will be more descriptive since some of them are short.

See if you can pick out any clues to what the confession(s)/secret(s) could be hidden in this chapter that would reveal what Makaela doesn't remember.
