15. Showtime

"10 minutes, girls!" Jack announced before jogging in the opposite direction. Jessie, Lizzie and I scurried over to the mirrors backstage and checked our makeup and hair.

Tonight was concert night. And I felt like crap. The nerves were getting the best of me. I ran my fingers through my hair with haste. I was wearing dark denim jeans with a red blazer and a white sequenced shirt. I sat down and slipped on a white pair of converse. I was told to wear white heels. However, I knew I was far to clumsy to wear heals on stage.

"Is it just me, or does Jack seem the most nervous out of all of us?" Jessie giggled as she applied bright pink lipstick. She was wearing gold shorts and a bright red loose shirt.

"Well, can you blame him?" I asked, "His career is relying on us."

"And ours isn't?" Jessie looked back at me, "He's just the manager."

"And he does so much for us and we should be grateful." Lizzie reminded us. Lizzie was the only one of us who looked calm. She adjusted her black skirt and tucked her long-sleeved red shirt inside. She sat down beside me and put on her white heels. I felt my pocket buzz, but I decided to ignore it.

"Aren't you supposed to be wearing heels as well?" She questioned, eyeing my converse.

"I am not tripping during my first concert." I declared.

"Jack's gonna be mad." She sang while rolling her eyes.

"I can take Jack!" I teased.

Jack was a short man. He was in his early 30s, not married or a girlfriend. He focused on the music industry for most of his adult life. He was offered the job a month ago because he was so dedicated to his line of work. We could definitely tell by the way he acted around us. Everything had to be right or it was useless. It got on our nerves. Yet, he still was beginning to earn a special spot in my heart. He was the only other person who traveled with us from The US. It was nice to have someone else with me.

I got up, pulling Lizzie with me, and walked over to Jessie.

"Ready?" I asked, looking at her reflection in the mirror. Her reflection looked back at me and smiled.

"I've BEEN ready." She whined.

"Ladies, let's go!" Jack whined.

"We're coming!" Jessie told him, getting annoyed.

We walked up to the stage entrance and waited for a moment. We were handed microphones and given the final check.

"You girls look stunning!" Jack smiled, but stopped when he saw my shoes, "Tyler, we talked about this."

"Is it really that big of a deal?" I asked, offended.

"Yes," Jack answered, "But you don't have time to change."

"Darn." I mumbled. I felt a buzz in my pocket. I took out my phone to see a 2 texts.

FROM: Harry

MSG: Good luck! I'm in the Front row, dead center! I brought a few friends, hope you don't mind.

I smiled and opened the next one.

FROM: Niall

MSG: I know we aren't talking, but I just wanted to say good luck tonight. I know you'll do great.

I rolled my eyes.

"No phones!" Jack scolded.

"Yessir." I muttered, stuffing my phone in my left pocket,

"You ok?" Lizzie whispered to me.

"No." I stated.

She nodded and looked away. Soon, the doors open, and we were ushered through. We took a deep breath and began to walk on stage.

"Please welcome White Lies!" A familiar voice announced. We smiled to ourselves when we realized it was Jack.

When we got on stage, we all stopped in our place. Shocked. The small stadium was full from the front to the back. We only expected a couple hundred. There were over 3,000! My nerves quickly escalated. The crowed cheered and clapped. I slowly, walked to my place on stage. My eyes darted to the front row. Harry stood, waving, over to his left was a familiar face. Lucy. I smiled and waved. Lucy waved and smiled the biggest smile I had ever seen.

"Wow," Lizzie said into the microphone, "Hi!" The crowd cheered in response.

"There's a lot of you guys!" Jessie smiled, "This is awesome!"

"Definitely wasn't expecting this much." Lizzie told them, "Well, we are White Lies! I am Elizabeth."

"I'm Jessie!" Jessie announced. They both sounded so confident.

"I'm Tyler." I said shyly into the microphone. Jessie gave me a look that told me to ease up. I couldn't. I was too nervous.

"Let's get started, shall we?" Lizzie smiled. The audience cheered, and our first song started.

I was the first one to enter the song. I was a bit shaky at first, but I got myself stable quickly. As the night went on, I was feeling more comfortable and began to enjoy myself. When the show was over, we ran back stage. Lizzie pulled both Jessie and I into a group hug.

"We did it." Lizzie gasped.

"Wow," was all I could say. When we pulled away, I was tapped on the shoulder. I turned to see Lucy smiling widely. I pulled her into a right hug. I missed this kid.

"You did AMAZING!" Lucy hugged me.

"I'm so glad you're here!" I sang, not letting go.

"Thank Harry," she told me, "He got me here." I looked over at Harry, behind Lucy. I let go of her and ran to him.

"Thank you!" I said, hugging him.

"No problem!" He chuckled hugging me back, "You girls really were amazing."

We thanked him and made our way back to the hotel.

I woke up in my room back at the hotel. I rolled over to see that Lucy had crawled in beside me during the night. I sat up and checked my phone. I had two texts.

FROM: Niall

MSG: You were incredible. Just wanted to let you know.

I whined and then read the next one. It was from 2 am.

FROM: Jack

TO: Tyler, Jessie, Lizzie

MSG: Got the results from the survey. Your fans want a cd!
