14. Questions

"You have to get up," Jessie whined, "We have our first interview!"

"I don't feel good." I lied. I had thrown the covers above my head.

"Bull!" Jessie snapped, "Look, I have you're outfit picked out and everything. All you have to do is put it on. "

"Seriously, I think I'm gonna vomit." I lied again.

"You're fine!" She said, gripping the blankets and tearing them off of me and across the room. I sat up and glared at her.

"You've been cooped up in here for two days," She complained, "And you won't tell us what's wrong. I get that but enough is enough. Time to act strong." With that, she left me alone. I sighed and closed the door. I put on the outfit she picked. It was a long sleeved white shirt with thin stripes. I put on the denim jeans and my brown leather boots. I looked at myself in the mirror and sighed. My hair was still a mess and I had dark circles under my eyes. I brushed my hair out and put on makeup. I looked decent enough. Just as I was finishing up, someone knocked at my door.

"Come in!" I answered. Lizzie came in and quietly shut the door behind her. She was wearing a tan, short dress with long sleeves. She wore it with a red scarf and an unpleasant look on her face.

"I'll apologize to Jessie," I promised, "and I'm almost ready."

"That's not what I came in here for," she spoke. I just stared at her and she walked over and say on the bed, "I know about you and Niall."

I stiffened and held a straight face.

"I saw the note the night he left it and I was just around the corner when you went to talk to him about it." We were quiet for a moment before I decided to speak.

"Why are you telling me this?" I asked.

"You've been so upset these past couple days," She explained, "And I wanted to give you some reassurance."

"Reassurance, huh?" I said sarcastically.

"You guys will be talking soon. I've seen this situation before-

"He doesn't want to ever want to be with me." I told her, "I mean, I understand, Harry and the band. It just hurt that there wasn't any hope in his mind."

"I wouldn't be so sure about that," she said getting up. She eyed my outfit up and down. She took off her red scarf and tossed it to me, "Add this." She said before she left.

"You're first show is in just a few days, correct?" The hostess asked up. We nodded our heads up and down. We had been in this interview for what seemed like forever. It was a little nerve wrecking but Lizzie was doing her best to answer all the questions for us. The only word I've had to say was hello. I looked over at Harry who was behind the interviewer just out of the audience's view. He gave me a thumbs up and a big smiled

"That's where you are going to be performing your first album, right?" She asked again, "What is your album about?"

"It's about finding yourself," Lizzie answered for us, "as well as others. It's about learning who we are and who we get along with."

"That's very sweet." The hostess smiled, "Now these next few questions are for Tyler." This took me by surprise. I felt my hands shake and quickly stuffed them under my legs.

"What was your reaction when you learned that Harry Styles was your brother?" She asked. Easy.

"Well, I actually had no idea who Harry Styles was," I answered. I received a slight chuckle from the crowd, "Um, I was scared, to be honest. And I still am. I didn't want my family to suffer and be in the spot light. I mean, the first day everyone knew, my whole family was picked on." I realized I was steering this in the wrong direction, "But Harry helped me through it and things got better. I've always wanted a big brother and he has given me more than I could have ever dreamed!" The audience clapped in response.

"So you and Harry have become close?" She asked.

"Yeah," I smiled, "We have."

"And is it because of him that you are with these girls?" She gestured toward Lizzie and Jessie.

"Yes," I nodded, "Without him, none of this would be possible."

The audience awed.

"Isn't that sweet!" The hostess enthused, "So have you girls picked out a name for yourselves?" We all looked at eachother.

"We actually haven't yet." Jessie looked back at the hostess.

"Better get on that," she smiled, "it was nice having you girls here. Ladies and gentlemen, please give another hand for Elizabeth, Jessica, and Tyler!" And with that, we left. After we got off, we caught our breath.

"That was so scary!" Lizzie said.

"Oh, it was fun!" Jessie laughed.

"Fun?" I questioned, "Are you on crack?"

"Only the good kind." She winked.

We started walking through backstage, following a young man from the staff. Soon, Harry met up with us.

"That was awesome girls!" He smiled, putting his arm around my shoulders.

"Thanks." We seemed to say in unison.

"She's right, you know," he said, "You need a name."

"We'll get on that!" Lizzie assured him.

Harry and I had gone out for lunch. He took me to a small Italian restaurant just outside of Vegas. We were seated in a small table near the back. The waiter took our drink orders and left us. I was staring at the menu, not sure on what to get.

"Tyler, are you ok?" Harry asked, interrupting my thoughts.

I put my menu down and looked at him.

"I'm fine...?" I said, confused.

"I noticed that you've been..." He struggled with what word to use, "Distant. And I haven't seen you very smiley lately."

I wished I could tell him why.

"Well, James is here," I said casually. Harry's eyes grew wide and he turned around to search the room.

"No, I meant he's in Vegas. He is staying at out hotel." I told him.

"What?" Harry said surprised, "Has he tried to talk to you."

"No," I lied, "He saw me and walked away."

"You're not going to socialize with him, right?" Harry looked at me skeptical.

"No sir." I smiled. I liked having an older brother. He was really sweet and protective.

He smiled back and looked back at his menu. The waiter came by to deliver our drinks and take our orders.

"May I please have the spaghetti?" I ordered. The waiter nodded and wrote it down.

"Geez, so polite," Harry criticized, "May I please have the same thing?" The waiter nodded and walked away.

"Hypocrite." I muttered.

"How bad would I look if I wasn't polite after your little show?" Harry explained. I just laughed and teased him some more.

That's when I realized, I had to stop letting myself get down just because of a boy. I needed to enjoy the moments like these. After lunch, we went back to the hotel and up to my suite. Harry decided to join Jessie, Lizzie and I and watch some Disney movies. It made my day completely better. And then, we had our show.
