Take care

(Starts in 2009, before XFactor. Harry was just a normal teen from Cheschire with big dreams)

Harry and Valerie had always been best friends. From their birth to their teenage years, everything was fine. A few mistakes changed the whole thing, but their relationship always stayed strong.

Sometimes, saying nothing says it all...

«You've seen all my mistakes...»

Maybe they were ''too close'' to be bf/gf but what happens when life gives you no other choice? And what happens when fame takes away the person you need the most?

Some people change, and some just won't.

7. 7

On July 15, we woke up super early because of the show we've been waiting for so long. We had to take the bus for a 4-hour long ride. We were so ready for it, we had a lunchpack full of unhealthy food for the ride. We talked about the show and usual friendly stuff on the way. When we arrived in London, we checked-in at our hotel. It wasn't as pretty as it showed on the Internet but we were there to sleep so it would be fine. We had a few hours to kill before they let people go in the venue so we decided to have some take-out from a Thai restaurant. The food looked gross and we joked about it all night but it was delicious. We got to the show 30 minutes before it started because we didn't want to see the first part, we had no interest. Our seats weren't too bad but people were so crazy that we barely saw the 3 boys. It was a reunion tour so only the best songs were played, which was perfectly fine for us. They started with 4 fast songs to really get us into the show. They sang 'I Miss You' as the 6th title and just when the first note was played, Harry shook my hand and smiled at me. I didn't move for the whole song, I was just happy to finally hear my favourite song for the first time live. When it ended, Harry whispered in my ear:

- I know you love this song and I hope you'll never miss me like that

I think my heart stopped. Although we were only teenagers, that was a very deep thought he said to me that night. I knew I would remember it forever. The next few songs were also slow, everybody in the place was very peaceful. When they played 'First Date' Harry went all crazy. He sang this song so many times before and this time, he was really into it. He was signing so loud, I'm pretty sure Tom and Mark could hear him. His curls were flying around, he was moving his head so fast. I couldn't help but laugh, he looked so happy. I was glad to live this moment with him.

When the show ended, we were exhausted. People were rushing out and it was so warm outside so we both were very thirsty. There was some free popsicles outside the arena so we stopped by to get one. We took one bite, looked at each other and threw it on the ground because it was nasty. That was one more thing to laugh about, that night.

- I can't believe they made a cover of 'Every Rose Has It's Torn' at the end of the show!
- I know right! It was so good! And you seemed to be very happy during 'First Date'! Ha
- For sure I was! And I also was very happy to be there with you.

Just when we were on the corner of the street where our hotel was, we bumped into Will. I asked him how his summer was going so far, but the situation was so awkward and I didn't want to ruin my perfect night with Harry. They talked a bit about White Eskimo, the band had been running quite low since the wedding show, and they promised to talk more about it later on this week. We made the rest of our way to the hotel silently. The adrenaline of the show fell down and we were now too tired to speak. I wondered if it really was the reason or if Will's apparition had something to do with it. When the lights were all closed, I asked Harry:

- Do you think my relationship with Will changed something between you and me?
- ...
- Harry, I'm talking to you.
- Yes it changed something. I realized you were a girl.
- What the fuck are you talking about? I've always been a girl.
- I know you've never been a man.
- Okay nevermind Harry, forget about it.

2 minutes later, he said quietly:
- I said I realized you were a girl, because before I was seeing you only as my best friend. I mean we know each other since forever, I didn't see you as a girl who likes boys, you understand? I never thought a guy would be interested in you because you were my friend. It's hard to explain, but Will made me realize that you and I won't always be together. We'll have to move on someday because you'll have your life and I'll have mine. We'll be friends but I know you'll get closer to someone more than you are close to me now, in a different way, and our friendship won't ever be the same.
- Oh okay. Thank you Harry. I love you too.
- I didn't say I love you
- Oh shut up I know you wanted to add it somewhere in your speech but you couldn't.
- Sometimes I hate you for knowing me so well.
- Haha, good night now.
- Night!

We woke up late the day after and we only had 20 minutes to pack our stuff and leave the room. In the bus we were still very tired and we hadn't eat in 16 hours. The bus stopped half-way through the ride so we finally got to get a snack. We didn't really talk for the 3 first hours but during the last one, Harry was discussing some weird stuff about wanting to go to an 'American football' game. I swear, this guy had some new hobby every week. He also talked about wanting to leave White Eskimo, which I thought was kinda sad because that would mean he wouldn't sing anymore. Well, not officially let's say. I barely talked, I listened. I loved it when he was  really into what he was speaking of. I closed my eyes, and I listened to him.
