2. Chapter 2

I slipped out of the window as Luna went down. Alice and Tammy grabbed her as Clint started the car. Both she and the males had on faces of horror, as if they were going to hunt a bear with only their hands.

I chuckled as I followed the group to a shopping center called a mall.

I went and stood next to my wife as she started to drag her feet to follow the other two couples. The males hid their pain rather well.

The first stop was some sort of store that was all pink. Luna groaned when she saw it.

I groaned. We were going into Claire's. There was so much pink that in hurt my eyes.

I'll admit, there was some cool stuff in there, like skull earrings, some bone necklaces and some nice emerald earrings. But most of this stuff was bright or hot pink. That had to be my least favorite color on the planet.

Tammy and Alice both looked around and found some things that they liked. Tammy got some skull gloves and Alice some nice earrings.

I stayed silent and by Loki, honoring against hope that they would forget about me. No such luck.

I groaned again and heard Loki let out a chuckle as Alice pulled me over to a headband. Thankfully, it was blue and purple tie-dye.

We bought our things with the money that Mom an Dad let us have. (Okay, so Tammy may have practiced her magic on them, but I didn't know at the time.) we finally left the Bright Hot Pink Hell Store as I had dubbed it, and went to some sort of shoe store.

Tammy and Alice spent less time here, after I pointed out that we should probably buy dresses before shoes, and headed to another accessory store.

We had been at the mall for almost three hours now, and it was just passed noon. I was hungry.

I asked if we could stop for a while to eat. The boys agreed enthusiastically, Alice nodded, saying she needed a drink and Tammy, reluctantly, followed us.

At the food court, which was only about three restaurants and an ice cream store, I and I ate a salad, Alice had a McDonald's wrap, Tammy a hamburger and Clint and Peter both had Double Whoppers with everything on it. We all had some ice cream to end it all. We all got vanilla because they were out of everything else.

Then came dress shopping. I was fine goon in my white shirt and purple skirt again, but no, Tammy and Alice insisted I go all out. Loki was pleased with the idea of his bride being the prettiest one there, but was going to make sure no one would come near me.

I never go to vote on if I like a dress or not, just if I would wear it at all. In the end I had to try on two dresses. The first was black and way TOO short. The second one was a deep green. It was styled just like my usual, frost giant dress.

I remarked about this and asked the worst question I could have at that point in time. "Why can't I just wear my usual dress? It's not like anyone will know that I always wear it," I told Alice.

"WHAT?!?!?!? WE WILL KNOW AND ISNT THAT BAD ENOUGH?!?!" She yelled like that for a few minutes about how fashion worked. None of us really knew, but people saw me in my dress last year, so I couldn't wear it again. Apparently, people actually remember stuff like that.

We made our way back to the shoe store and I let Alice pick out my shoes. It was almost 3:00 o'clock when we got back to the house.

That was BARELY enough time to get ready for the reunion which started at seven. I would have been happy just to through the dress and shoes on and pull my hair back, but it was not to be.

Tammy did my hair while Alice did my makeup. It took a lot longer than I thought and both were just barely ready by the time we had to leave.

We walked out to find a limo waiting and Loki holding the door open for me. He had on a suit, which looked really good on him, and so did Peter and Clint.

We all piled into the long car, Clint staying as far from Loki as possible. We reached the school just after seven, and in the only limo. I still wanted to go home and read a nice book.

Tammy, sensing this, pulled me out of the limo and ushered me in the door, Loki quietly walking behind us.

Tamyra was pushing Luna into the brick building. I followed, chuckling silently. Finally, she seemed to accept her fate, as she stopped struggling.

We walked into a large room with a wood floor and a metal door that lead out doors to a long green patch of field with white lines. It was for some type of sport.

I reached Luna after Tamyra had let go of her and grabbed Clint's arm. They then started swaying to some slow music, never taking a step.

"Why are they not moving," I asked Luna.

She grinned as she looked at the two swaying.

"Tammy's worse than me at dancing," she replied. I stared at her in amazement.

"She would end up killing us all, lighting the school on fire, causing an explosion and managing to get any first responders killed if she were actually dancing right now," was her reply.

"I heard that," Tammy said.

"It's true," Alice pointed out.

"...... Shut up," was her come back.

"I'm gonna sit down," Luna told me as we headed for an unoccupied table. She quickly slipped off her shoes and put them under the table.

I raised an eyebrow at her. "Those things hurt," she said.

That was when things got a bit more interesting.

I had just gotten those pitching shoes off when I finally began to relax a little. That was a mistake, they could smell unsuspecting prey from a mile away.

*Author's Note*
What I have written about Claire's is not exactly true. I just happened to use this name, and it should not impact you opinion of the store. It is nearly the way this character sees a specific one of these stores.
