Teenage Kings

As a new student at HBHS (Huntington Beach High School), Kaylynn is trying to make a new start. Despite her belief, making new friends isn't that hard for her. She meets three boys who are eager to be her friend. But as her social life rises, she realizes that there are many more meanings to the word "like" when it comes to boys. Crushes, let-downs, drama, and cat fights. This will be a school year she will never forget.

11. Chapter Eleven

Wesley turned to his younger brother and watched as he danced through the doorway. Something obviously had him in a good mood. Wesley laughed and shook his head.

"What's got you dancing, bro?" He asked as looked back down to his homework.

Keaton chuckled smiling very cheekily."Well." He began, stretching the word. "I finally grew some balls and told Sabrina that I wanted to be more than friends, and let's just say that I have a date tomorrow."

Wesley looked up at his brother again and smiled. "That's radical, Skeater." He laughed. "And speaking of dates, I got one as well tomorrow."

Keaton sat beside his brother and nudged him with his elbow. "Oh really? And who might this lucky girl be? Let me guess, hmm, is it Carly?" He chuckled.

Wesley shook his head and continued doing his homework. "No, actually, it's with Kaylynn."

Keaton's smile faded. "Wait you mean, my Kaylynn?" He asked looking to his brother. "Is it like a date date, or like just a date?"

Wesley lifted his head towards his brother with a perplexed look. "Why does it matter who I go on a date with? And she's not yours, you don't own a girl until you call her a girlfriend. Which you now have. And anyways, I think I really like her. She's real chill and down to Earth." Wesley looked back down to his papers.

Keaton shook his head bringing himself out of his current low and he smiled again. "No, yeah, you're right. And no bro, I don't like her in that way anyways. I'm happy for you."

Keaton never realized how good he was at lying until now. Not only was he lying to his brother, but he was lying to himself as well. Of course, he wouldn't find this out until later on.
