It's Kind of a Coincidence

Bella had a kidney transplant when she was sixteen years old. Two years later, she is able to meet her donor, even if she doesn't really want to. Her donor is Tregory Jones. What Bella wasn't counting on was for him to be a beautiful, just out of his teens, boy with the personality of a god.

5. The rainy day.

"I hope you're going to apologise to your sister when she comes downstairs, Bella." my mom says, passing me my cereal.

I sit down at the table. "Why should I?"

"Because you slapped her!" mom exclaims. "I can tolerate bickering and arguing, but I will not stand for physical violence."

"She makes my life hell-"

And then Jessica walks in, half of her face bright red and bruised and she is not looking at me.

"Bella..." mom urges.

"Yes, Bella." Jess raises and eyebrow at me.

I stifle my laughter, biting the inside of my cheek. I had no idea I hit her that hard. I still don't even feel bad, this is the least I could do after her tormenting me all my life.

"Wow." I let a bit of laughter out. "Okay. Trey's at the door." I grab my bag and head to the door, turning to Jess. "Do you want be to bring a bit of ice back for your-"

"Get out!" she shouts.

I let all my laughter out as I step out of the door and Trey looks up, grinning. He looks even more beautiful today, his hair and skin are bit damp from the drizzle and he is smiling like mad.

"What's the matter with you?" he chuckles as we start walking.

"My sister's face is in bad shape." I laugh.

He laughs too. "Wow. Okay, so what do you want to do today?"

We end up just walking around New York City in the drizzle of rain that quickly turns into a downpour, but we don't mind, we just walk around in it. There is nothing more amazing than New York City in the rain. There's just something about it.

When we walk back to my house later, we stop outside the door before I go inside.

"Today was fun." he smiles.

"It was." I agree, grinning. "It's a shame you've got college tomorrow, we could do it again."

"It's a shame you decided to take a gap year after high school and not come to my college."

"Oh I do apologise." I smile.

"You had better do." he grins. "By the way, I see Jess watching you from her window."

I sigh. "She's such a freak. I'd better go inside."

"Okay." he smiles. "May I be honoured with your presence again next weekend?"

"You may." I tell him as I walk inside. "Bye."

And he walks back into the New York rain.
