If the Doctor called...would you answer?

Jenny, the Doctor's daughter is back and joins Torchwood. Riversong, martha and rose also return to gather together because something is calling. Someone. And he needs them more than ever before.

Each companion awoke to the blue police box facing them. They cautiously made their way to the door. They looked at each other then back at the TARDIS. Jack opened the door and they entered.

The Doctor lay on the floor unconscious but breathing. Jack picked him up and put him on a chair. He looked so tired. He hadn't changed since he'd seen him last. But he was definitely a lot older.

Slowly the Doctor's eyes opened and he sat up straight. A wide grin spread across his face. Tears then filled his eyes as he saw Jenny. She ran to him, embraced him and he hugged her tight. The others watched smiling then the Doctor turned to them and embraced them all one by one. Jack looked at the Doctor then at everyone else.
"Hm. I can't even tell you what I'm thinking right now."
"Oii. Behave you." The Doctor frowned.
"Or don't." River smiled.
"River! You too. Come on. Lot's to do. Let's get you all home eh?"

One by one, the Doctor dropped them home to the correct time. He took Martha to unit and River to the ministry of Archaeology.
"How come you're still alive?" The Doctor asked River as she exited the TARDIS.
"Spoilers." She blew him a kiss and closed the door. All that was left was Jack, Jenny and Rose. Rose. He hadn't spoken to her yet. She didn't know why. She wished he would though.

"Doctor? When I was pulled out of time, I was in the TARDIS with you. Wouldn't you dropping me back cause a paradox?" The Doctor didn't answer her, he just pressed some buttons on the console.
Jack took her hand, "Use this. Teleport. Just press that button there."
"Why won't he talk to me?" She whispered to Jack.
"He doesn't like endings."
She nodded and looked at the Doctor one last time before looking back at Jack.
"Bye then."
"See ya round kid." He kissed her on the cheek and she pressed the button. She disappeared in a blue flash and the Doctor spun round.
"Where's Rose?"
"Back on the TARDIS. With you. In the past."
"Yes. Right. Good."
"Why exactly were you trapped between parallel worlds Doctor?"
The Doctor's met Jack's eyes and he turned away.
"I was..."

"You were trying to see her. You know that's not possible."
"I know that!" The Doctor snapped. He sighed and pinched his forehead. "I know." He whispered. Jack nodded.

"You can drop me and Jenny at Torchwood."
"Right. Yes."

The Doctor landed outside the Torchwood building and Jack helped Jenny out. She was still getting over the bigger on the inside thing.
"See ya around Dad." Jenny made her way to the base leaving Jack with the Doctor.
"promise you'll look after her." The Doctor nodded at Jenny.
"Only if you promise me something. Don't be alone. I've got my team. Who do you have now Doctor?" The Doctor looked up at Jack, as a man looks at his brother.
"You were brilliant."
"Doctor, where will you go? Can I come with you?"
"You're needed here. I'll be around."
"Well will you be ok?"
"Me? Yeah. Course."

"Ok." Jack stepped out of the TARDIS and started walking. He turned and shouted back. "Till the next time then?"
The Doctor grinned. "Till the next time Captain." He closed the door and as the TARDIS thrummed and shot into the sky, the Captain saluted and smiled knowingly.
"Come on then!" Jack turned to see Jenny waiting impatiently. He ran up to her and they walked to the base entrance together. As the secret lift took them down to the base, Jack looked Jenny up and down. Jenny tilted her head to him.
"Did you just..?"
"Yep." He winked and they grinned at each other.

"So what exactly is in store for me here at Torchwood?" Jenny bit into a slice of pizza.
"More excitement than you could possibly imagine." Jack replied, hanging his coat up and they watched the Teradactil soar across the base, screeching loudly.
"And running?" Jenny looked at Jack and their eyes met. He grinned and turned his head back.
"Oh yes. Lot's of running."
