The Justice Academy

After the justice league discovers that villains have their own schools for creating villains, they decide to start their own school for heroes. This year, one Barbara Gordon is forced to enrol by her father and she really, really doesn’t want to be there.

20. Chapter Twenty

Barbara knew the two of them had never done anything like this before, and that was exactly why she had picked it. Roy had jumped at the opportunity to get revenge on his mentor and even Kara had seemed giddy at the idea of pranking the league.
It wasn’t much, and afterwards the league made them clean up ever spec of paint and toilet paper but the three of them really enjoyed themselves.
Roy’s idea had been much simpler, but equally as enjoyable. They took over Paradise and ran amuck in the fake streets causing as much trouble as they liked. They had to get a supervisor but Question enjoyed it almost as much as them so his involvement was pleasant.
The Sunday was quiet and calm, and the league had stuck a movie marathon on for them all to watch. The first few morning movies were cheesy superhero movies that they all laughed at and then a few comedies.
Barbara, Roy and Kara were on the couch when Canary joined them to watch, she shoved Roy into Barbara and sat with them looking surly.
“What did he do?” Roy asked softly, clearly trying to keep other students from hearing.
Canary just huffed and shoved him again.
The four of them sat happily and Kara somehow manoeuvred around Roy and Barbara so she could chat quietly to Canary about the kind of girly things Barbara hadn’t quite grasped yet. Barbara nodded and hummed as they spoke but generally she just watched the films.
Roy knew that Ollie had done wrong but until he saw his foster father in training tomorrow then he wouldn’t know what had happened, so he just ignored Dinah’s sour mood and focused on the red head pressed into his side.
She was just trying to give Kara and Canary some space on the three person couch of course, but Roy liked Barbara. Not that he’d tell her, she was so driven on uncovering Aisha and he didn’t think he’d be a welcome distraction yet. Once it was all finished he’d tell her. Definitely. Maybe.
Until then, he just let his arm slink down across her shoulders and gently pull her into his chest.
He ignored Dinah the rest of the night, he didn’t need to see her face to know what she was thinking and that she was going to tell Ollie. Fine. He could deal.
God Ollie was never going to let it be.
