8. Im sorry.

I woke up the next morning and I got a text from Shayne "Hey (:" I unlocked my phone and texted him back "Hey, whats up? :)" I looked at the time and it was 11:56. I got out of bed and changed into sweat pants and a shirt with Justin Bieber on it. I made my bed and went downstairs. "Hey mom." She was making pancakes. "Hey sleepy head." I giggled and opened the fridge to get some orange juice and I chugged it down. "What did I say about you doing that?" I looked at her. "You said not to do that when people are here, its only me you and the dog." She shook her head, "So what. And ugh, who was that boy in front of the house yesterday?" My eyes opened widely and I started to stare at fridge. "Steph." I put the orange juice back and looked at her. "Um, so are we still going to the movies?" She began to laugh, "Don't change the subject, I saw you with him."

"So you were stalking me?" I got a plate out of the cabinet.

"No, I wasn't stalking you, I was just outside in the back yard smoking and I heard someone talking and laughing.

"Oh. You didn't see anything did you?" I was embarrassed.

"No." She elbowed me and began to giggle.

"Is he your boyfriend?" *RING* *RING* I looked at my phone and it was my dad. I ignored the first ring. My mom looked at me seriously, "I think its time to apologize to your father." I answered the phone.

"Hello?" I hoped he would change his mind and let me come in the summer.

"Hey Steph is that you?" I took a bite out of my woffle.

"Yes daddy, its me."

"Listen, about the last time, I'm sor-"

"No, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that, and I understand you want to spend time with your new family." I interrupted him.

He signed, "I really was looking forward for you to come but they want to go on vacation."

"Hey dad, I have to go, I'm spending my time with mommy bye." I hung up the phone and took another bite of the woffle. My mom sat down across from me, "I know its hard." I took a deep sign, "Yeah it really is."
