13. Home

I hear the soft whir as we land, I am the first to run to the door, I pull it open to see we are back in the alleyway that we left in. I take a step outside, I breathe in the night air, it still has a slight bad smell to it, it burns in my nostrils removing any left scent of the beautiful apple grass.

'Off so quickly?' I turn to see the Doctor leaning against his magnificent machines door, he has a slight look of sadness on his face.

'Well, I really should get back, god knows how long I've been gone, but you and Clara can come round... if you like?' I really do have no idea I've been gone, seconds, minutes, days, weeks, months, years. It is dark now, night has come, my whole day has passed. I know it's a time machine but surely he can't get the date right every time. Surely.

'It's okay you go enjoy yourself, me and Clara have plenty of things to see, and if you ever need us then call this number, it will link you directly to the TARDIS' he smiles handing me a small note with a number scribbled on it. I smile at him gratefully.

'Thanks...and thanks for a great time' I smile placing it into my hoodie pocket that I had previously placed the note and fob watch. He gives me one last wave and smile before stepping inside his TARDIS. I start to walk away, I hear the soft whirring, I quickly turn to see what is happening behind me. And right before my eyes, the TARDIS disappears, vanishing in to thin air. My eyes widen, I was confused, yet amazed, he was full of wonders.

I head back to the orphanage remembering my way back well, I reach the doors and push them to enter.

'I'm back!' I close the door with a bang, waiting for people to come and greet me, yet they do not come. They may be asleep. I head to the bedroom, to find the girls all fast asleep, all lightly snoring. I quietly creep to grab my pajamas. I go to the bathroom to get changed, after I quietly return to the dark bedroom, lightly closing the door behind me. I make my way to bed, after I am settled, I slowly drift off to a deep sleep.
