Dear Reader,

Dear Reader,
If you find this, then I'll be really grateful if you read it. If you find it, you should know that you were chosen. You should know that you were sent from heaven to me, because for me, reading this would be the most helpful thing anyone can do.
I didn't know my life would change like this, reader. I didn't know things could get this bad, but it's okay. I'm still grateful, at least I have something to write with and someone to write for. Writing can really be helpful. If you're mad about something, reader, I think you should write about it, it helps.
I hope I don't make you cry, reader, because if you're reading this right now, you're special to me, and I don't like to make people cry. Especially if I care about them.
I'm sorry for what you're about to read. I'm sorry to write it.
Here's my story.

19. Chapter Nineteen

11th - July -2013

Dear Reader,

We had to continue the plan, today.

We started at morning, way before the sun was up. You'd find far less Peace Takers at night than you would in the morning. The thing about that time, though, is that you can find new Peace Takers, you always can. All they basically do, is stay up, just in case any of the prisoners tried running away.

I'm learning so much about this place, reader. Not only because this has basically became the place I live in, but also because I'm here with Faith and she does know a lot.

So back to the new Peace Takers; they spend their shift sitting, doing nothing really, but - twice, and only twice, they walk around the cells making sure someone's filling each one.

At some point, Faith looked at me and nodded, and that was like a signal that meant action. She did so, and then turned around.

I took the Peace Taker's clothes and started wearing them on, I didn't tell her that she shouldn't really turn around because, well, technically there was nothing she couldn't see, I just wore them over my shorts.

After a while, the new Peace Taker was there. Showtime.

"Hey, you, newbie!" I called to him, not too loud though, but I made sure he thinks I'm angry. He looked at me shocked. "Yes, you there! It's about time you came! You call that doing your job? What time is it? It's like, three am, or something, and you still haven't done your job and walked here!"

"I don't-"

"Just shut up and open this freaking cell. This girl's been driving me crazy, I came here with another Peace Taker and he had the keys, I sent him away so that the two of us will be alone." I nodded at Faith. "It took her a minute, though to close the cell's door behind me. Of course, it locked automatically, keeping me in. This wasn't what I planned, I never wanted to spend my time in a cell!"

"The point was keeping you in, just like you've been keeping me in here!" Faith said.

"Shut up! Don't say a word." I turned to the Peace Taker again. "Crazy, this one." I shook my head. "Well come on, now! What're you still doing out there, you're going to spend the whole night standing there watching us?!" The peace Taker looked at me, uncertainty filled his eyes. He just stared for a while. "Come on! Don't you have the keys?" He's young, younger than most of them, that's probably what makes him a newbie. I guess he has to work for ages to become a real Peace Taker, one like Kevin and the others who do all the horrible stuff to us. He then took a pile of keys out of his picket and started looking for the key to our cell.

I waited, my heart racing so fast, and so loud that I feared he might hear it. I tried to calm my breathing, he would surely notice this. I tried to look as calm and bored as possible, if anything, I wanted to seem more irritated and mad than anything. I was afraid that maybe, someone might wake up right now and find us. That they'd find us trying to escape the cell. We'd be dead, if they saw us.

"Just give me the damn keys already, you don't know which one it is, I do." I said, angrily.

"No, I was ordered not to gi-"

"I don't care what you were ordered. You get it? I don't give a damn. You're a newbie here, and I've been here for seven years and now I'm locked in a cell with a crazy girl, I won't just wait for someone like you forever to open the door for me." I think that was a good acting. A horrible thought came to my mind, that I'd probably make a a good Peace Taker. I shook the thought off and took the keys from his hands, fiercely. The Peace Taker was, if anything, scared. Of course I didn't know which key it is, so I tried them all anyway, but at least I was faster than him. It seemed like a million keys that I tried before I finally found the one. I wondered how many cells there are here, there really were probably hundreds of keys here. With a loud click, the door opened, and I felt like kissing the key for being so magical. I did the next thing fast.

I opened the door, pushing the Peace Taker away from it, and then threw the keys behind for Faith to pick, then I went out and closed the door behind me. Next thing I did, was that I covered the Peace Taker's mouth with my hand and held his both hands in the other. Wow, these Peace Takers are really turning me into a monster. I've never in my life attacked someone like I just did.

But you see, Reader, I'm only doing it because I have to, it's almost like self defense, almost. I mean, I'm fighting for my life, I have to get out of this place to live, and a bit of hitting, a bit of violence will be my only way.

"I'll say this very fast, for you left me not much of a time and I have lots of things to do.You hear me?" I told him. He nodded. He looked so scared and so powerless that I almost felt bad for him. Almost. He's still a Peace Taker, even if he's young and new. It's just that I've never seen a Peace Taker so weak before, he can almost make me feel sorry for him.. but not quite. "The keys will remain here, if you tell anyone about the keys, you will be killed, believe me, I know better. Don't tell anyone about them. Your life as a Peace Taker you'll be threatened, actually your life as anything will be threatened, I wasn't kidding when I told you they'd kill you. You're a newbie, you're easily replaceable. If you tell them that I stole the keys, they'll decide you're not good enough for the job, but - if you leave the keys with us, and require to take every other night for a watch, not only you'll be protected, but also, they'll think you're a great Peace Taker for volunteering for such a boring mission. You can always fake having the keys. There's a copy of them with someone else, right?" He nodded, still terrified. "You're not allowed to have it, though, are you?" He shook his head. "And if you asked for one you'll be screwed, for they'll realize your keys are missing. Cover us, and we'll cover you. Actually, cover us, and you'll be covering yourself automatically. Rat us and either they will kill you or I will. Understood?" He nodded one more time. "Good boy." I took my hand off of his mouth and then said, "She'll be watching you." about Faith and then walked away.

I kept praying for no one to see me, I didn't want to see any living soul, whether in white or not. I kept walking to where Faith told me. She really was right about everything in this place. I followed the instructions I memorized and finally, I found the clothes' closet. What surprised me, is that it wasn't locked. Looks like they always need to change, what's with killing people and getting splashed with their blood. There wasn't enough of the night left for any other mission, all I had to do is get those clothes, for Faith. I looked around me, no one was there. I didn't look up, just in case there were cameras there, then I opened the closet, took a set of pants and a shirt and then walked away with them, careful to keep my pace cool, just in case someone saw me. A running Peace Taker is always a questionable sight.

Just as she saw me, Faith opened the door for me, she must've known the right key by now, but the funny thing is that the Peace Taker was still there, as if waiting for me to come in. He was nowhere near the door, so I didn't fear he might come in and steal the keys. Still, I went in fast and closed the door behind me, but I was shocked to notice he didn't leave his place even after this opportunity.

"Just tell me." He said finally. "Are you trying to escape?"

There was a long pause, Faith and I exchanged looks.

"I don't think that's any of your business." Faith said.

"I have one request." He paused dramatically before continuing. "If you are, take me with you."
