10. Chapter 9

It's been six months, and Niall is almost out of his coma. Court and Drew's wedding was coming up fast. It was only in a month, and Drew has plans to stay with the lads for the week of the wedding. I’ve gone to see Niall, almost every single day. Court wanted me at the house almost every single hour, because she didn’t want Drew seeing the dress, that was locked away in my closet.

“Court...I’m just going to check up on Niall. I want to know if he’s awake or not,” I said into my phone.

“I know...I know...but Drew is upstairs. I don’t know what he’s doing up there,” She responded.

“Just go upstairs, and ask what he’s doing. Court...I have to go. I’m walking into the hospital.”

  “Okay! Bye!”

I hung up, and dropped my phone into my purse. The doors opened, and the receptionist pointed me to the hallway. I walked down the hallway, until I reached Niall’s room. I opened the door, and all of the balloons, and cards. I set down my purse, and sat down. I took Niall’s hand, and started talking to him. He facial expressions never change, whenever I talk to him. He always squeezes his hand, and moves his arm’s. I just want him to sign again, and be at Court, and Drew’s wedding.

“Court is really stressed out about her wedding. She always thinks that Drew is going to look at her dress, and all of her accessories. I wish that you could be able to see what chaos has been happening at the house,” I said to Niall. “I wish your coma would disappear, and you could help me with Court, and you can sing again with all of the other lads.”

I started crying, and I felt Niall’s whole body move.

  “Babe…” He responded weakly.

He turned his head, and his eyes were full of loneliness. Niall just stared at me, as the nurse walked in.

“He’s up! I’ll page the doctor!” She told us.

I pulled out my phone, and texted the lad’s, Court, Drew, Maura, Bobby, and Greg. Niall kept staring at me, and I continued to hold his hand. The doctor walked in.

“Hello Mr. Horan. It seems like you woke up from your coma,” he told us.

“How long was I in a coma for?” NIall responded.

  “Six months…”
