A Modern Fairytale

I was just her best friend. I didn't know it would go this far!

9. Backstage

Sadly the Best Day Ever had to end at some point. But it wasn't over yet.

The boys offered to show me around backstage and to find me some nice seats. The security guards were slowly becoming friendly so they had no problems with me. They said it was alright as long it was fine with me. My dear reader, since you are reading my One Direction story my guess that you are a Directioner. If One Direction offered you tickets, would you take them? I could probably answer for you, YES! I wouldn't call myself a Directioner but I do like them and their music. Obviously, I did say yes.

After getting off the Liberty Bridge we headed straight for Heinz Field where the boys would be performing. There was a whole bunch of construction (again) and I thought we wouldn't make it a few minutes. So to pass the time I asked them to sing. But the catch was for them to sing songs that wasn't theirs. They sat there staring at each other blankly. Then Harry started singing a song I didn't know at least for a while.

"She's a good girl, loves her mama. Loves Jesus and America too. Shes a good girl, crazy 'bout Elvis. Loves horses and her boyfriend too. It's a long day living in reseda. There's a freeway runnin' through the yard. And I'm a bad boy 'cause I don't even miss her. I'm a bad boy for breakin her heart."

I had never heard of that song before until Louis and Liam started singing with him at the beginning of the chorus. Then it hit me like a crescendo.

"And I'm free, free fallin'. Yeah I'm free, free fallin'."

Free Falling by John Mayer! I've heard this song before! My dad and I love songs from 60s, 70s, and 80s like that. So I joined in. I'm not the greatest singer but who cares? It's not like I had a solo or something. Even Lydia joined in a little. Although it took a little persuading, I finally got her to sing.

"All the vampires walkin' through the valley. Move west down ventura boulevard. And all the bad boys are standing in the shadows. All the good girls are home with broken hearts."

I could confirm that lyric. I had recently broke up with my now ex-boyfriend, Adam. He wasn't too happy but I caught him cheating on me with another girl from my school. And the worst part, I absolutely despised that girl. She has been trying to break us up for years but wasn't successful until two weeks ago. Adam says she forced herself on him but I find it hard to believe since he was on top of her! I was heart broken but realized he wasn't worth crying over.

"And I'm free, free fallin'. Yeah I'm free, free fallin'.Free fallin', now I'm free fallin', now I'm
Free fallin', now I'm free fallin',"

We sang it over and over again until it got a little annoying. Then we just kept singing random songs we knew. I felt a little awkward suggesting songs from Michael Jackson to Miley Cyrus and Juicy J. But I must admit they were skillful. They knew just about every song I suggested which was really cool.

Eventually we got on the ramp to go on the exit to go on the bridge which points to another exit which will get us close to Heinz Field. Pittsburgh cant do anything simple when it came to cars, roads, or bridges. With traffic on top of that, I was a little worried but we made it in one piece. Barely. I was driving through girl infested streets and they were slow! They were either jumping straight up and down while Tweeting or holding a coffee while Tweeting. Either way mine and the boys phone were constantly going off.

Then while crawling along at one mile an hour some girls were looking in the windows of my car. At first no one really noticed One Direction be chauffeured by a teen in a brown mini-van. But then all hell broke loose after just one girl. One girl!

At the top of her lungs she screamed, "I see One Direction! They're in the car!"

That little piece of shi*. All of a sudden faces are being smashed in my windshield and windows. Hands and even feet were leaving prints on my paint. I could hear the nails being broken and my paint being scratched! My poor old car! Then one girl jumped on top and started jumping. I turned around to see the body guards holding the boys like babies. They look like they've seen a ghost or something but the crap load of people reminded me of a zombie video game.

"So you still like Pittsburgh?"

They were too busy screaming like little girls to hear me. I thought they would have been used to it, they have body guards! My fists were the best things I had. Then again they weren't in the bullet-proof limo like they were use to. I turned back around and laid on the horn until I thought the steering wheel was hot. I got a few to move but the rest were still in my way. So I told my self, pedal to the metal.

They moved in an instant which was perfect since the boys only had a few more minutes before they had to get dressed up,for the show. I am a miracle worker! The body guards literally picked up girls and threw them if they got close to any of us except me. I was pummeled! Thankfully it only took a few minutes to get in. The boys went back to get their clothes and hair done while Lydia showed me around backstage.

We finally had time to each other just to talk and it was nice!
