~A girl once told me to be careful when trying to fix a broken person For you may cut yourself on their shattered pieces~

17. And Everything Comes Crashing Down

Liam's POV

I was finally happy that Diana and I were possibly going some where in a relationship. I was more than happy when she had accompanied me on that date yesterday. And I feel happy for her that she stepped out of her comfort zone because now she gained some possible friends being Scarlett and Kriss. Hopefully they'll be good for her.

I had decided that it was a good day to catch up on my school work. One of the many advantages on going to an online school is that they are pretty lenient when it comes to due dates. I had nothing else really planned for the day so sitting at my desk with a bunch of school work sounded like the best option.

I know Diana told me not to but I can't take this anymore. I've been planning on asking her to end my agony and have her finally be mine. I'll be there to catch her when she falls. And I'll make sure of that.

I wasn't expecting anybody to come over until later so the rapping of heavy knuckles on my front door had thrown me off to say the least. I sighed putting down my pencil and walking over to the door. I didn't bother looking through the peephole, expecting it to be Harry, or maybe even Diana.

As soon as I opened the door I felt a whole other body weight crash into mine. It took me a couple of seconds to realize that this person was hugging me. I got a nostalgic scent of sweet flowers and a sight of curly blonde hair.

"Liam!" She squealed. "It's been so long! I've missed you so much!"  I was know looking into the familiar pair of ocean blue eyes that once held the title of my girlfriend.

"Alyssa?" I was still in a dazed state, not expecting any of this.

"Duh! Of course it's me silly! Who else would it be?" She asked as if it were obvious. She dropped her hands from my shoulders and stepped back to look at me while giving me a smile that held indents on the cheeks.

"How did you..when did you get here?"

"Well, I finished school in Blackpool and decided to come back here. Back home, with you. I mean I know we had a bit of a fallout before I left but Liam, I just want to make things right again."

I didn't know what to say. She was my first love and she took advantage of it and tore me to pieces. Leaving me saying that is was my doing and how I was the problem in the relationship. I guess you could say that I was whipped considering I wanted nothing more than to please her.

"Alyssa, I've moved on. Which is something that you should've done too. I don't know what made you think that I would consider going back to you again. In case you haven't noticed, you left me heartbroken and alone. I mean I trusted you with everything I had and you just completely ignored it. I don't know if I can do this."

She just looked at me before laughing a bit. "Are you serious? Liam, we were perfect for each other. How could you not see that?" She shifted her weight onto one leg and crossed her arms with a scowl on her face.

"Alyssa look, I don't love you anymore. Like I said I've moved on. We are history. That was, what? 2 years ago now?"

"I know you missed me. You couldn't live without me. Before me you were nothing. And you're going to be nothing if you don't take me back!" She stomped her foot on the ground like a spoiled toddler. I honestly don't know what I saw in her.

"Liam, baby, please. Just hear me out okay? Whatever girl you got in your head has nothing on me. So, you might as well as forget about her." She was now only inches in front of me caressing my chest. I felt my skin burn under her touch and not in the good way.

I kept a stern face. "I think you need to leave." She gave me a hurtful look and then smiled.

"You are out of your mind. You know that?"

"No, I think you are. You're the irrational one here. The immature one who's not getting her way. Now I'm going to ask you kindly once more, leave my house." I started to raise my voice in frustration.

"Fine! I'll leave you with whatever whore you're waiting for, but I'm not going without a kiss."

"You've got to be kidding!"

"No. Just one, innocent goodbye kiss. And I'll leave you alone."

I considered it and processed it through my mind. I was desperate and I wanted to make things right between Diana and I and I could tell that that wasn't going to happen with Alyssa in the way.

"Fine. I'll do it. But you have to leave immediately after. I don't want to see you around."

She smiled and I soon felt her lips smash on mine. I tried pulling away but she grabbed my neck and proceeded. It was too long for my liking and I heard the door open again. Confused even further, I decided to push Alyssa off of me to see the cause of my ajar door.

There standing before me was a broken girl. Diana.
