My BIG Journey

'Sorry Alicia! My camera won't work!' I said into my computer screen.
'Sorry love... but who's Alicia?'
I froze... my camera wasn't working and all the person could hear was me... speaking.
"Umm-uhh... I'm terrib-bly sorry, I m-must have the w-wrong Skype!' I stuttered.
This guy was completely hot... and I knew him from somewhere...
"What's your name?" his british accent asked me.
"Evie" I waited for a response
"What a lovely name! I just wish that I could see your face!"
This was just my lucky day that he didn't see me... VERY lucky. Being obese isn't easy...
"Anyways, I know you are probably beautiful!" The guy smiled.
'Pssssh... yeah right' I thought to myself. But it felt good to hear someone say such a thing.. I've never heard the word beautiful being spoken to me.
I laughed and smiled.
"I love your laugh, too!"
"My name is....'

16. Chapter 14- New Look, New Decisions

When I woke up the next morning, I followed the instructions that Sarah told me to do after I said yesssss to the whole interview thing.

She told me to dress semi-nice and to bring in some work-out clothing as well so that I could work out after the interview.

So my mom got me a black dress with small polka dots that moved with my curves and showed an even complexion to those who saw me. It was sleeveless and had an adorable white collar.

My dad also gave me the money to get my HAIR done at a salon! (I am being dead serious man!)

I got it done yesterday and was really embarrassed because 3 of the hair stylists working there had to help get out all of my stubborn knots and had to straighten my knee length dark brown hair. I asked them if they could cut it up to my chest and give the rest of my hair to a charity for those that don't have hair.

I remember also asking them if they could curl it at the ends just a bit, and they all sighed while wiping sweat off of their faces. I just laughed at them a little, smiling brightly as they continued to finish off everything. Eventually, they were smiling too... when we paid the price of $250 for the whole thing.

When I awoke, my hair still looked fabulous, and I was really pleased with that. I earned enough money to buy some make-up at the drug store, and I know what you are thinking... why would I put all of that on my face when I have zits and blemishes all over my entire face?

Well when the event happened, I asked my mom if she could order me some facial cleansers and treatments to get rid of my acne and everything that was just being a BUTT on my face.

She agreed quickly and bought me the stuff that I needed generously. And let me tell you... it has worked wonderfully! I only have two small zits hidden at the top of my forehead near my hair line.

And I as I am looking into the mirror today, I could not explain how much I have changed. I think that I looked quite well despite how I used to look.

I look... normal, like no one will ever point me out again.

Sarah also told me to bring in a picture of how I looked before, which was a really hard task to do since I didn't like having pictures taken of me back then. I did find ONE though (that I absolutely disliked).

My dad and mom drove me to the gym as I pondered what type of questions they were going to ask me.

What would I say my motivation was? Liam breaking my heart?

No no no, I would definitely not say that... could I speak of my bullying? Would that be inspirational? I have absolutely no idea what I should say! Should I wing it? I-

"Evie! Look at all of those people!" I heard my mother exclaim.

My eyes widened as I looked at the ten people in front of the gym setting up cameras and microphones.

Yep, this is definitely going to be something alright...
