My BIG Journey

'Sorry Alicia! My camera won't work!' I said into my computer screen.
'Sorry love... but who's Alicia?'
I froze... my camera wasn't working and all the person could hear was me... speaking.
"Umm-uhh... I'm terrib-bly sorry, I m-must have the w-wrong Skype!' I stuttered.
This guy was completely hot... and I knew him from somewhere...
"What's your name?" his british accent asked me.
"Evie" I waited for a response
"What a lovely name! I just wish that I could see your face!"
This was just my lucky day that he didn't see me... VERY lucky. Being obese isn't easy...
"Anyways, I know you are probably beautiful!" The guy smiled.
'Pssssh... yeah right' I thought to myself. But it felt good to hear someone say such a thing.. I've never heard the word beautiful being spoken to me.
I laughed and smiled.
"I love your laugh, too!"
"My name is....'

35. Chaper 28

I woke up in a daze. Last night events slipping from my mind. Wiping the sleep from my eyes, I realized Harry had his arms wrapped around me. He looked so peaceful, so young, as he slept. His soft snores filled the quiet room, and his curls were pushed out of his face. I was grateful for his kindness, but felt confused. Wishing that it was Liam. Pain rushed through my arm and I looked down completely forgetting about the blue cast I was sporting.
"Harry," I whispered. He moaned, still not moving a muscle,"Harry." I pushed him causing him to roll off the bed.
"What the heck Evie," his voice was raspy.
"I need to get some Advil, and you won't move," I giggled walking over to my bathroom. I opened the medicine cabinet, grabbing two tablets and swallowing them with a glass of water. In my room I found Harry asleep on the floor. A knock on the door startled me.
"Evie, I was wondering if we could talk?" My mothers voice muffled. My eyes widened as I looked down at the sleeping boy.
"One moment, I'm getting dressed," I quickly said tapping on Harry's shoulder. He again moaned,"Get up! My mom is coming in!" He looked up at me and ran into my closet.
"Evie," she sang. I made sure Harry was out of site, in the closet and opened the door. My mother stood there, looking quite tired. She had tried her best to look chirpy on this early morning. She walked in and sat on my bed. She patted the empty seat beside her,"Whose are these?" She picked up Harry's large black boot which were placed neatly next to my bed.
"Um, those are mine," I quickly said picking them up and placing them on the dresser. She gave me a suspicious look and just shrugged. I took the empty seat beside her,"I apologize for coming in past curfew. I had not intentions of coming in late."
"No worries. I wanted to make sure you were okay. The doctor called this morning and explained that the gym was off limits. I wanted to make sure you were okay. I mean you've worked so hard," she was right. Everything about this situation annoyed me. But I knew that I could overcome this, I mean it's all part of the journey. And there is always some obstacles.
"I'm okay," I sighed,"Everything is going to be all right." She got up and walked to the door. Placing her hand on the knob she turned to me.
"Evie, get that poor boy out of your closet, he must have a trouble breathing in there," she walked out leaving me there in shock. I felt the blood rush to my cheeks as I walked over to the closet door.'
"Finally," Harry said out of breathe. He walked over to the bed and put on his shoes," I should most likely get back to the house before the others start to worry about me. Oh and Liam told me to tell you to call him when you woke up." I nodded and Harry stood up towering over my smaller frame.
"Thanks again Harry," I said as he approached the door.
"Don't ever hesitate to call," he kissed my forehead. I don't know if I was over thinking this, but it didn't feel like those friendly kind of kisses. It had a different feeling that I couldn't exactly explain at the moment. I couldn't explain this feeling I felt when I was around him, but I knew that it wasn't right. Sighing, I pulled my phone off the charger and looked down at my cast. Dialing Liam's number, I placed the phone to my ear. Two rings later he finally picked up. It was nice to hear his voice again.
"Hello?"
"Hey Liam, it's Evie," I said walking around my bedroom.
"Hey, I'm sorry about sending Harry over last night. I just had to come home, but I promise that when I get back I will make it up to you," he sounded sincere. And I could tell he was tired as he spoke to me.
"I'm going to hold you to that Liam. I love you, but you should get some sleep," I said even though I didn't want to end this conversation.
"Alright, I'll see you tomorrow evening. Be ready at 7:30. I love you too," the call ended and I looked at the wall. I had forty-five minutes to eat breakfast and get to school. Quickly rushing to the bathroom, I pulled my hair out of its bun. Brushing it out quickly, I placed some bobby pins to keep it out of my face. After washing my face, I put on little makeup and rushed into my closet. Deciding I would keep it simple, I grabbed a light blue tee shirt and a pair of jean shorts. Running out the door I picked up a banana and my backpack. Mom waited outside in the car, and as soon as she saw me she put her seatbelt on and we made our way to school.
"That boy was cute," she cooed.
"Mom," I huffed,"Nothing happened. I just had some unsettling feelings and he offered to come over."
"I'm just saying," she pulled into the school.
"And I'm just saying, I love you," I kissed her on the cheek and walked in my school. Walking in my eyes locked with Justin's, and I noticed a newly black eye. This day wasn't going to end well.
