 Part 22

”Are you serious?” Lea asks as we kick off our shoes, and takes off our leather jackets before walking to the living room. She continues “did he seriously leave you this? Wow” she holds the little piece of paper, looking at it as if it was some evidence in a murder case.

“Yeah he did” I just answer casually, as if it doesn’t bother me. But it does - pretty much.

Lea wrinkles her nose, and I can tell she’s trying to find out some logical explanation for Justin’s behavior today, but just like me she doesn’t seem to success.

“But… what if he doesn’t want you to follow the paper?” she then all of a sudden asks.

I raise an eyebrow while I pour a glass of red wine for both of us. Totally needed right now.

“What do you mean?” I ask as I hand her one of the glasses, and sits down beside her on the couch, taking a sip of my own. “The paper clearly says to stay away from him, and so did he tell me at school” I continue. I don’t know what she’s trying to tell me.

“Exactly” she just says, and her face turns into a sly smile “what if he wants you to do the exact opposite? I mean, by now he must know you well enough to know that a message like this will make you extremely curious and leave you as one big question mark. He’s not that stupid”.

I think of her words. Hmmm, maybe she’s right. Maybe he wants me to figure out what he means with I shouldn’t stay around him. And that he didn’t tell me everything. He wouldn’t say that if it wasn’t because I was supposed to figure it out. Damn, Lea is not that stupid after all.

“I don’t know” I lie. “Maybe you’re right… Or maybe I should just listen to him” I take one more sip and so does Lea. We both sit in silence for a while. I guess she’s thinking just like me.

That’s what I like about Lea. We’re so alike, and no silence is awkward between us.

"You know where he lives?" Lea then suddenly asks. I look at her. No. He's been at my house, and I don't even know where he lives.

"I don't - why?" I ask, trying to read her face.

"Well, I don't know... Maybe you should start by finding out about that... You know, get to know him better" she smirks as she speaks the last words. What the hell does she have in mind?

"And how am I supposed to find out?"

"Well..." she says, and her smirk turns even bigger. "You follow him" I raise an eyebrow, wow what, follow him?

"Omg Lea no, that's stalking! You know that?" I ask, and my eyes turns even bigger. Lea just looks at me as if that was the dumbest thing I could possibly have said ever.

"Duh, of course I know what stalking is!" she rolls her eyes, then continues "but if you can't talk to him, then there's no other way to find out" she looks at me, waiting for my reaction. She's right, there's no other way to find out, and I really want to find out more about him. Maybe that will explain his strange behavior. And what else than his adress could possibly be better to start out with?

"Tomorrow, after school, you follow him and finds out where he lives. And then when you've find out you just walk straight home - deal?" Lea takes out her hand, as she waits for me to grab it. I look at it as I think. After several seconds I finally grab
